I've been here and to the sister restaurant in Latham many times. I would give a slight edge to this location in terms of the lunch buffet. However, both locations are better than all other Indian places in the area. Prices are a bit more but this location compares favorably with other restaurants in Saratoga in terms of price. And... I have often been disappointed with Indian restaurants that do not prepare authentic Indian cuisine, of which there is an abundant variety to be enjoyed. Karavalli did not disappoint. We began with two tasty appetizers - the crispy Tamarind Eggplant and tender Calamari Cochin. For a main I had the Lamb Chettinadu and the owner recommended Lasooni Chicken. The lamb... More

Good taste of Indian food..bit pricey but worth it.. Restaurant is small, so tables were very close to each other but well decorated and kept clean..

I have eaten a lot of Indian food. This is my favorite restaurant to date. I highly recommend The Lamb Korma

Usually we go to Karavalli in Latham. But this time the craving for Indian food came over us while in Saratoga so a trip to the Caroline Street location, once the home of Mino’s Sushi, was in order. Beer goes really well with Indian food and Karavalli realizes this because they offer a very nice variety of bottled beers. Our... More

The restaurant feels cozy and well managed, with white table cloths even for lunch. The tables were close together, which would make it feel crowded at a busy time. I arrived toward the end of the lunch buffet. While the offerings are not vast, they are varied and all nicely prepared, almost as though in a family home. I enjoyed... More

Service was okay, atmosphere dire but for a Monday night what to expect. Menu choice is ok but looked like a lot of sweeter varieties. I opted for a Chicken Makhani with rice and Naan....huge portions. Quality of the chicken was low - precooked and dry, the sauce as another reviewer mentioned ultra sweet / sickly, flavoring was okay but... More

First time in Saratoga Springs; looked on tripadvisor for restaurants. One child in family is a vegetarian and wanted Indian food. This was ranked #5 in town, a few block walk off of the Main Street and they had no wait. All of us were hungry so it looked like a perfect fit. The staff was pleasant and efficient, the... More

I have lived in Saratoga Springs for over 20 years now, and I'm telling you that Karavalli stands out as one of my all time favorites. Saratoga has a lot of restaurants, most of which are mediocre at best. The ones that are good are extremely overpriced and trying too hard to be trendy. The ones along Broadway cater to... More
