Beautiful wood painted tables, lamps, folk art sculptures. Menu was somewhat unusual - A mixture of salads, paninis and asian type dishes. I ordered hot carrot soup - worth a trip up there just for this! Also had soba noodles mixed with salad - excellent. They charge 2.50 for bread - we ordered a bagette and it was crusty and... More

Stopped in looking for a quick lunch as a friend and I were passing through town. Folksy and homy atmosphere geared towards women, ordered two soups which were good. The sandwich and the quiche were awful. My friend only ate a portion of a half of the pannini which was dripping greasy butter or butter substitute. My quiche was an... More

We saw this resto from the road, and as our party of three was peckish, looked no further. Excellent choice. I've come to expect that food outside of New York City will be fresher, better prepared, more politely served, all at a better price than in the city. Scallions did not disappoint. Our lunch of sandwiches and wraps was delicious.... More

Driving Montreal to Philly, stopped for lunch. This was the highlight of our trip! Chose this place instead of chain restaurants at highway exits. Well worth the five minute detour. Casually sophisticated, relaxed, and tastefully decorated. I had salad w. crab cakes, son had tuna entrée. Both were delicious and prepared to perfection. Son, returning home from school year at... Food was amazing. Wine list was lacking selections. Need more options and higher quality wines. Service was good, well intentioned, but a little inexperienced.

The restauurant is cool and colorful, perfect size for a relaxed lunch. Not noisy at all. We had the quinoa salad which was quite good--the quinoa was cooked to perfection (crispy and not mushy) and the fresh vegetables were well seasoned. Portion size was ok, though it could have been a tiny bit larger. The naan bread was disappointing as... More

While traveling in Saratoga Springs, I chose to have dinner at Scallions. I had previously dined in the restaurant in the summer of 2012 and enjoyed the food. This time around I chose the New York Strip Steak with a paprika butter that included mashed potatoes and vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly. I dined on a Thursday night when... More

On a trip to Vermont my boyfriend and I stopped here because it had a nice look and the name was interesting. I had a duck and greens salad that was amazing. They look like the outdoor eating area would be nice in the summer. There is this adorable little room just to the right as you walk in with... More
