Hatties has the best fried chicken ever. Reasonable prices. Jasper and his crew are great. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Hatties Chicken Shack.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for over 20 years. We actually time our trips from NYC to Montreal so we can stop for dinner here and never leave without a bottle (or two) of their famous Hot Sauce!

There was no line or waiting when we had our brunch. The staff all look excited every time a customer comes in. The ambiance is very southern. We had the famous fried chicken, serving is big but my husband managed to finish everything. I also had grits, a little salty but still good. My kids had waffle and chicken, and... More

I have to admit I'm biased: I've eaten at Hattie's many, many times over the last 10 years or so. If you love fried chicken, it is hands-down one of the best fried chickens you'll ever eat (it was featured in an episode of Throwdown With Bobby Flay). If you love southern food in general, you'll think you were in... More

We go here often. Love the food. Good ol' down home cooking. Serving area the enough to share. Always packed at standard dinner time. Try going a little early or later to avoid wait. My only complaint is that it is chilly in the main dining room in the winter. There isn't an air lock to keep the cold out.... More

If you're in Saratoga Springs you have to try Hattie's. Not only is it the oldest restaurant in town, it's the only one to beat Bobby Flay in a fried chicken throw down. The original Hattie's fried chicken recipe never disappoints!

Hatties is great when you are feeling the need for Southern comfort food. The place is not terribly comfortable, but it has charm. I miss Hattie and her husband. They were the best. The new place does not really have the feel of when they were there, but the food has not changed. This is a nice summer place to... More

We love going to Hattie`s Chicken Shack in Saratoga during the summer and sitting in the courtyard. The food and atmosphere are outstanding, even the stand at Saratoga Racetrack is awesome. Well we could not wait until summer and gave Hattie`s other place in Wilton a try. Once again the chicken was superb. The two drawbacks were the cranberry coleslaw... More

After years of exploring restaurants in Saratoga, my girlfriend and I find ourselves asking “why do we go anywhere else other than Hattie’s!?!?”. While we love the food, it is the “feeling” we love the most! We typically go to Hattie’s for Sunday brunch; we always sit at the bar in the back, and always have a GREAT time!!! Nothing... More
