Great place for a relaxed dinner

This is a very unpretentious Mexican restaurant with friendly staff and good food. There is never an issue with my dairy allergy as everything is cooked to order. This is a very unpretentious Mexican restaurant with friendly staff and good food. There is never an issue with my dairy allergy as everything is cooked to order. They are great about making sure we are getting what we need and keeping up the drinks. I've had a number of thinks on the menu, good basic Mexican fare all around.

Having recently moved from Texas, we tried to follow local reviews to satisfy our longing for genuine Mexican food. We have tried the others - some surprisingly rated higher - and feel that Leon's is by far the closest to genuine Mexican in the area (including Clifton park). Their fare isn't "tex-mex" and while the food itself may warrant 4... More

My wife and I went to Leon's for the first time recently for dinner on one of the coldest nights of the year. It was a Sunday night, and the place was nearly empty when we arrived. There were a few people at the bar, and one table was finishing up dinner. We were seated in the main dining room,... More

We ate there for the first time and loved it. Good marguerites, good nachos, great chips and guacamole, great fajitas and fabulous carne asada. The service was excellent and the prices were low. We will be back again soon and will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Went for a weekend date night, slow night for a weekend with the bar being completely empty on a Saturday night. The service was very friendly, the free chips and salsa were less than average. We ordered a Burrito and Chimichanga, neither of us were 'wowed'. Mostly flavorless but it was filling.. We've had better more authentic mexican at El Mexicano,... More

I have been a patron many times over the years, but introduce 4 friends to Leon's for the first time tonight. They were as impressed - as I always am - with the friendly staff and the fabulous food. Everything is home made on premises...fresh, delicious. Our waitress was so accommodating and amenable. This is just a great place to... More

We were coming back from Lake George and just caught them before seating closed. Our server was so gracious, he always is ! The food is always wonderful and consistently good ! Great chips and Guacamole. My husband always get the Rachel Ray dish so ordering for us is so easy here. Anything you pick is good.

I'm a lover of Mexican food and this is by far the best in Saratoga. The tamales are the best I've had in the northeast. Unfortunately they aren't making them anymore!! Please start making them again!! I guess people in this area don't normally order them, but trust me, ask for them....they are the best thing they make!

As always, a good mexican dinner after the races at Saratoga. Prices are reasonable with leftovers to be had. Kids will love it!

Leon's is as authentic Mexican as you can get. Located in a residential neighborhood near the track in Saratoga Springs, it is challenging to find it among many narrow side streets. However, be patient and your taste buds will be rewarded! Menu selections seem standard, but the difference is in the taste and preparation. Portions are generous, prices are very... More
