If you are on a diet. Fahgetaboutit! But we will be back to this home style joint. Lots to look at in the little corner part of the establishment.

Service was excellent, and there was no rushing any patrons to finish up even on a busy morning. The food was however, very mediocre. I don't think they should charge an extra fee for the maple syrup. Could they explain that?

Country Corner Cafe, on Church street seems to have been there since the Civil War. A corner cafe that holds twenty-five people with another separate restaurant two doors down that is larger. Remember to put your name on both lists. Great iced coffee served in a mason jar. I had the potato pancakes which come as three pancakes with shredded... More

I have to hand it to the staff at the Gideon Putnam....,They know good food! So before departing the Spa City, we wanted to go to breakfast. It was recommended to go to: "Country Corner Cafe" on Church Street. Don't blink or you'll miss it. This place is absolutely darling with it's six counter stools, two booths and three tables.... We went here on a Thursday morning and were pleasantly surprised to be seated quickly in this very small cafe. I don't think there are too many ways to mess up breakfast, but the food just wasn't good. The home fries were undercooked, the eggs Benedict bland, and the potato pancakes were mostly raw onion. The worst part is that... More

I found Kountry Kettle to be just a bit above average in most categories. Our food was good -- I had the oatmeal pancakes, with a special order of fresh peaches and blueberries, with maple syrup -- and my husband had a basic eggs-home fries-toast breakfast. Our server was solicitous, and offered to top off our coffee a couple of... More

I ordered a tofu scramble with polenta fries. Companion ordered an omelette special. Both were very good. It was raining so they were quite busy. Our wait was 15 minutes. I ordered a blueberry muffin after breakfast and it was also good.

Looked for a great place to have breakfast in historical Saratoga Springs and saw the advertisement for a long standing well respected local cafe. Always looking for quality family/locally owned restaurants. My wife loves Eggs Benedict, and this looked like the place. Big mistake. We've been married 46 years, and this was the worst Eggs Benedict we have ever had!!!! We... More

We went for breakfast, and found the Country Corner Cafe. A little cafe with only a few tables but full of charm and friendly people. I wanted to use the rest room as we waited for the order to be prepared and had to go 2 doors over "to the other part of the restaurant" to use it. Really odd,... More
