What a disappointment. Sperrys, an apparent "neighborhood gem" was more like a rough cut, stone! Waited 15 minutes (patio) before we finally flagged down a server waiting on the adjacent table. When we questioned the young woman if she in fact would be the individual waiting on us, without any pleasantries, she asked, "do you know what you want yet?",... More

Nine of us dined here on a Friday night during track season and we had reservations. I ordered the filet which was very good and started off with the special salad which consisted of tomatoes and mozzarella cheese and balsamic dressing, and it was very good. One of our parties ordered the chicken dish and he thought it was ok.... More

Sperry's is still the place for the horse set after a day at the track but don't come here for the food - you will be disappointed. Expensive and definitely not worthy the price. Lot's of better choices in Saratoga Springs

Traditional menu with slightly modern flair. We were greeted very warmly with no reservation on a Monday evening and seated promptly (although I would recommend reservations anywhere during racing season), it was later in the evening. Loved our waiter, curtious and helpful with menu questions. The Pate appetizer ,3 kinds served on a platter, was excellent. Our dinners were very... More

Made an open table reservation for four, two months in advance. Arrived on a sat. around 5 pm. Because it was early, when taken to the dining room every table was available except for one occupied by a couple. The hostess selected our table for four closes to the service entrance. We did not brother to ask for another table.... More

We have been going to Saratoga every August for about five years now and each time I wanted to dine at Sperry's but never got the chance. This year I finally did and was a bit disappointed. The overall atmosphere is fine - in fact rather appealing, however the noise level is far to loud for me when trying to... More

We open a map starting a long car trip, and that's the extent of our planning. Heading from Maryland to Quebec, we stopped in Saratoga Springs. We asked around for good restaurants and settled on Sperry's, the city's oldest--opened in 1932--and by reputation its best. It was idiotic to even try the place, this being the peak of the horse... If you are traveling (or a native) Sperry's is the quintessential Saratoga dining experience. Whether it's for a cocktail at the inside or outside bar, a appetizer/dinner - or all of the mentioned - go there! Old school charm in the inside....outside is an after-track must.
