Great guacamole, strong margaritas, and good food!

I always enjoy my visits to Cantina. From the chips and salsa, strong seasonal margaritas and fresh guacamole, it's a great summer place to go for a casual lunch or dinner. I've enjoyed the fish or shrimp tacos. Which are a little spicy but not too much. The portions are modest. Some items can... read more

I should have known better. I love Mexican food and thought what better day to have some then on Cinco de Mayo. After a 45 minute wait for my beer and 2 hours for our table, I kind of lost interest. That being said, the waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. The bartenders had a crowd of 3-4 deep. I... More

When you're seated they bring out warm and crunchy tortilla chips with fresh salsa, which is a medley of diced tomatoes, onion and cilantro. The service is adequate and the food is fresh and well prepared. It is a very popular restaurant so reservations for dinner are highly recommended. It always seems to be full in the evenings. We sat... More

Constant Companion and I visited Cantina for the first time for lunch recently. I doubt we will return, not because anything was really bad, but because nothing was really good either--just typical resort town fare. CC ordered the Catalina's Burrito $12.95)which was advertised as a flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken breast with a spicy tomato chipotle and green rice,... More

Based on other reviews, we went to this restaurant expecting better than average Mexican food. Margaritas and draft beer were good and everything else OK. Presentation was good, but most food lacked flavor and was not fresh. This included chile rellano, tacos, oysters, salsa street corn and beans. In fact the corn was cold and was obviously frozen. Our waitress... More

Walked around town first, trying to decide where to eat. Glad we didn't go by Trip Advisor reviews this time! Very cool building, relaxed, fun atmosphere. We had Mojitos, and they were excellent, very fresh and minty and not too sweet, perfect. Then we ordered food because it looked so good as it passed by. The portion was perfect, a... More

The quesadillas (lime marinated steak) were the best ever had. The steak melted in your mouth. And the Cadillac margaritas were super!

It's obvious by the title that we didn't like the food we ate. It was mediocre at best and a bit nauseating at worst. Normally, I would not berate any place for mediocre food alone. But, the premium price we paid for the 3 Mexican dishes suggested that we'd get something reasonably tasty. The best food we got were the... More

Vacillating somewhere between a vegan and a vegetarian, dining options outside of college towns can be somewhat limiting. Happily, Saratoga Springs has many options and this was our pick of the day. I ordered the cornmeal encrusted avocado tacos and was treated to a delightful taste sensation. They also featured vegetarian versions of many favorite tex-mex dishes. Staff were attentive... More

There were six of us for lunch today and, as always, everything was perfect. The service is always excellent and there is something for everyone. We had a great time and will be back.
