Good Staff, Good Food, But Dirty Floors

My girlfriend and I stopped here for a late lunch during a visit to Saranac Lake. We got seated in the front section though I think the rear tables would have been a little nicer, that might be because the seats in the back were all for groups of 4 and they were pretty busy. The service was... read more

Located on Main st right of the lake it offers 3 tables on the pavement, cool seating that does not allow alcoholic drinks tho. Their menu is european/ french inspired, interesting and nice combinations, but lacking taste a little bit. We have spinach/chick pea salad that was great, but their ratatuille with polenta was a bit tastless. Other meal we... More

We visited Blue Moon Cafe in July 2015 for breakfast before traveling back downstate from the Adirondacks. It wasn't our first time there, so we already knew the food would be exceptional. We were seated right away and our waitress came over very shortly after. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich and coffee, self-served our coffee from a few nice... More

Great local spot for breakfast and coffee. They make their own breads, even the terrific english muffins! Homemade corned beef hash!

Stopped by the Blue Moon Cafe twice on our 4-day visit to Saranac and Placid. Very inviting spot with a wide-ranging menu, courteous, professional service and a laid back vibe. The 'Eggs Benny' were delicious (my wife had them twice), and we also had a delicious Caesar Salad. When pressed for time we got a quick breakfast despite a big... More

We only went here to see a family member who worked nearby, but it was a good decision. While the décor isn't necessarily amazing, it's just a simple local eatery with great, no, awesome food. Saraburger with cheddar - best burger. ever, even the bread, which I usually hate. Panzerella salad - must try even if you share. Lonesome Bay... More

the French toast plate was enormous. I had 2 breakfasts at home on the leftovers. The pastry counter was directly across from our table and I needed dessert for the evening happy hour. We took home brownies, key lime bar and the above mentioned raspberry bar and I can't stop thinking about it. Also, a few days later I stopped... More

We have a place back home we like to frequent and this was great replacement while on vacation. Food and coffee are good with an interesting menu. Prices are a little high (like the one at home) but we pay extra for a place that feels comfortable. When they get busy the staff are running around like crazy people jumping... More

Ate here on a Friday night. Packed and very noisy. Open kitchen added to noise issue. Server was helpful and friendly. Expensive for setting and quality of food. Would suggest you not order avocado dip appetizer if you like avocado. Tasted mainly like sour cream. Meals were bland. Could have used more seasoning or sauce. Pastry looked wonderful but was...
