I went to Saranac Lake to have a wked visit with my son. He is a student at Paul Smith's. When I asked where he would like to eat, he said Blue Moon. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and the food was excellent. Nice size portions, and at a good price.

With warm weather it is nice to be able to sit outdoors and enjoy a sandwich and beverage. This is a nice little resturant on Main Street. It is used by locals and visitors alike. Food is good, service can be slow at times - but heck not in a hurry. Local service clubs meet here weekly.

We waited 15-20 minutes for a waiter, then a good 15=20 minutes for our burger and sandwich. So based on that I would say the service was poor. I had a Kiwassa burger which turned out to be a very small, well done patty that tasted odd. It was supposed to have a corn relish topping but I was not... More

We had BBQ on Saturday night (brisket sandwhich and crab and shrimp on polenta). It was fresh, homemade and made with care. You could tell they love good food. Sunday morning we were back for corned beef hash with eggs and homemade bread! Delicious! The hash had a nice crust; not too salty, the eggs were cooked just right and the... More

Everything is made fresh! Bagel and Lox!!!!! And, the upside down Apple Cake is amazing. They don't make it enough! I have a moteml about 25 miles from there. Whenever I hear that my guests are going to visit Saranac Lake, I suggest they stop in there. Real home town atmosphere!

The Blue Moon is a cozy, small town Main Street eatery. It has fabulous breakfasts where everything is home made. They even bake their own breads for French Toast. Wonderful food, great coffee and tea and excellent staff. A must visit.

Any time I am in Saranac Lake I make it a point to stop in at the Blue Moon Cafe for breakfast. They have a very quaint atmosphere and excellent food. I will have to broaden my dining experiance and try their lunch next time. You will not be disappointed.

The Blue Moon is not much to look at. Very much a small town cafe. However, the food was very good. Whenever I see hash and eggs on a menue, I get excited, only to be let down, because almost invariably it means the dog-foodish canned hash. Not here. It was homemade, and very tasty. The omellete selection was unique... More

Wonderful, interesting, delicious, fun and friendly. A sweet spot in this little town. If the service isn't to your liking then maybe you don't know that it is homemade with care and well, maybe you could stand to slow down a little and enjoy the good things in life. Also remember that places are run by real people and not... More

Breakfast is a treat in a pleasant morning atmosphere. Try something new and enjoy yourselves. We loved our eggs and side dishes. With a variety of brewed coffees and teas.
