If you are new to Saranac Lake, or are just returning for your tenth time or hundredth time, you must make a stop for breakfast at Blue Moon Cafe. The cinnamon raisin french toast was super delicious, with real maple syrup. Such a great way to start the morning, before a hike or paddle into the Adirondack wild. Fresh orange... More

For SL it's good. But the coffee was lukewarm. Why do they not check the temp? And the soup, Turkey vegetable with black bean would have been superb if it was hotter.! WARM UP YOUR SOUP AND YOUR COFFEE! IT IS COLD OUTSIDE IN THE ADKS IN THE WINTER! I'll give you a 5 next time of you warm up... More

Wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived, but was pleasantly surprised by the menu! Lots of interesting options (especially in the "bowls" section) and food generally seemed on the healthier side. We were also surprised to see they had a fairly decent beer selection (although bottles only). If I lived in the area I'd be going back for sure!

Great food, nice crowd. I love Sunday breakfast here. Good coffee and the local newspapers, too. Fresh local baked goodies you won't find anywhere else, enjoy !

This was "the place" to have breakfast in town on a Sunday morning. Of course, it was one of two breakfast spots open in town! We waited to be served for at least 10 minutes, and then another 15 minutes before our breakfast was served. Very short-staffed for the number of people in the restaurant. However, the quality of the... More

I went to meet my parents here with my husband recently, because my dad says it's the best Reuben outside of NYC. I did not try it, but the food overall was fantastic. Fresh, homemade bread and pastries, buffalo dip appetizer with crumbled bleu cheese, and my chicken/shrimp chimichurri were all great! Try the lemon blackberry cake warmed up. SO... More

I would say average breakfast. Tried a couple times. They have typical hometown breakfast; eggs, toast, pancakes, etc basic breakfast. A lot of breakfast places in town to choose from!

Ate dinner here twice while vacationing in the Adirondacks. Great staff and great food. The menu is eclectic, and a very much appreciated change from the mundane restaurant menus we had encountered elsewhere. Can't say enough good things about the homemade breads, the craft beers (love the UBU!), and the interesting wines. Had a steak au poivre special one night... More

I had breakfast here with my niece while visiting from Illinois over Labor Day week-end 2012 & remember it very positively. Tried it for a late lunch alone just after Labor Day earlier this month & was disappointed. I arrived after the noon rush & waited fifteen minutes for someone to notice I wanted lunch. A staffer was sweeping the... More

We grabbed food to go here a couple times during our trip when we had miles to make. It was easy and very good. Breakfast tacos, muffins and coffees were all great, and reasonably priced.
