Lovely spot on the water (sit outside if weather permits). Charming staff. Delicious food. My scallops were sautéed golden brown on the outside, juicy inside. Served with delightful combo of baby vegetables. Partner said his salmon was delish. Moderate prices. A real find in Saranac Lake!

It's not Paris, but the left bank offers Parisian food done right. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was a recent Paul Smith's grad headed to Florida to pursue his career in hospitality. He took a moment to chat with us and that made us feel welcome, not rushed. The food was clearly fresh and done well.... More

Well executed classic French bistro food and the only place in town with a decent wine list. In the summer, it's lovely to sit out on the deck next to the Saranac River. Service can sometimes be extremely slow and flustered, but they are very accommodating. Open only on weekends in the off season.

Always a pleasure when we are in town. We made the guitar night which alternates with piano night; listening to the classics and enjoyed the food.

We stopped here for coffee and a snack while on a bike tour. We went into the take-out bakery and ate at the tables outside. I had the most delicious almond croissant, plus some of the "pigs ears" and shortbread leftovers they put out- yum! We went in to use the facilities on the bistro side. I only wished I... More

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and good food. Service was attentive. Not cheap but a good place to go for a special dinner.

This is a serious French restaurant with excellent food. We started with the baked camembert, I had the potage and my wife had the gazpacho; she reported that is was the best gazpacho she'd ever eaten. For the main course my wife had the salad with duck and I had the scallops. The cooking was absolutely professional and beautifully executed... More

Our favorite restaurant in the entire Adirondacks. Anne, the proprietor, lived in France for several years. She teaches culinary arts and uses all her remarkable skills at the Left Bank. A real treat every time

We decided to eat here the other evening and the 3 of us ordered onion soup. It is good here. It took over 30 minutes and they only served 2 of us and then 30 more minutes for the third bowl. The rest of my meal was tasty but my husband's chicken was very very salty. My daughter loved her... More
