After a great weekend camping on Saranac Lake we were looking for a nice place to eat an early lunch. So happy that we came across Left Bank Café, located right on the river. We were able to get one of the tables on the porch which was ideal. Ordered a delicious tartine with smoked salmon, dill and avocado. The... More

During the Fourth of July weekend we stopped in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with the most fantastic dinner. We started with a light and flavorful French Onion soup, followed by salad and duck confit with peaches. All were fabulous including our son's ratatouille stuffed pepper. The outdoor setting was simply gorgeous and our server was extremely knowledgeable about... More

We were walking along the street looking for somewhere inspiring and saw the sign that they had a live band playing at 7. This intrigued us so we went in to ask to look at the menu. The woman we spoke to was fantastic. She knew everything that was In the food and told me where I could substitute for... More

We stopped in for a sweet crepe and ice tea after an afternoon of walking around. We sat outside near the river watching people fish, it was very relaxing. The crepes were very good too. Unlike many crepe places we've been, the sweet crepes were not overly sweet. The balance of sweet was just right!

Left Bank Cafe offers a quiet spot next to the river to stop for lunch or dinner. Call ahead to see if they will have live music. The food is delicious and they have a great dessert menu. Who doesn't want dessert?! A wonderful addition to the town and a must visit if you are in the Adirondacks!

This unpretentious, open, pleasant and low-key setting is home to a delicious and friendly cafe. A perfectly balanced French onion soup followed by the night's special skewered shrimp with artichokes over couscous left me pleasantly contented. Unlike some French cuisine, the sauce was not overwhelming. The food was tasty without being too rich. We will return another night to try... More

High Tea at the left Bank is just absolutely amazing. The imported tea from France is delicious and the spread of pastries and finger foods is to die for. I also love the Air France posters on the walls, you really feel like you sitting in a cafe in France when dining or sipping tea/wine at the Left Bank.

After a morning of skiing we found the Left Bank Cafe for lunch and never made it back to the trails! Its a charming and unassuming spot with top-notch French cooking. So good that we came back the next day to enjoy the ambience, the delicious soups & tartines. Well worth a special trip trip for anyone in the vicinity... More

I have loved and reviewed LBC befre, but always for lunch or dinner. This was the first time I had been there for breakfast. Started with an almond croissant that could hold it head high in Paris--and nutella on the side, followed by a superb banana and nutella crepe. It is hard to believe that a restaurant of this quality... More

The Left Bank Cafe has an unassuming store-front but once you walk in, it has charm and ambiance overlooking the Saranac River. The food was true authentic French cuisine and the service was great. There were 7 of us and all of us had different foods - we each raved about the cuisine and were happy we tried it. If... More
