This is a great little restaurant. The food is very good; tasty, well cooked and well prepared. There is a lively, relaxed feel to the place that makes a meal here rather special! Sitting outside on the veranda overhanging the river is great fun; we did that once. Sitting inside on our second visit, we had the enormous benefit of... More

We really enjoyed our meal here. We sat on the deck along the river, it was so relaxing. I had a stuffed pepper that was stuffed with farro and zucchini. It was a creative combination along with the fresh herbs added on top.

My husband and are regular vacationers in the Saranac Lake region. The food, though, has never been the star of our trips until we found this place. Wow. We had the smoked trout salad and the salad composee to start. Both substantial, fresh and delicious. My husband them had the taboule stuffed peppers and I had the dunk confit with... More

This new restaurant on Main St has a creative and interesting menu, more like a modern urban dining option than the usual grease and salt one finds in the Adirondacks. We started with delicious salads, mine with perfect smoked trout, and then went on to entrees, one duck and one vegetarian, that were both excellent. The vegetarian was fresh and... More

This is a delightful place to eat. It is different atmosphere from most American restaurants reflecting the ownership of a French couple who have created the feel of a real French neighborhood cafe. The menu is varied and food is beautifully prepared and tasteful. Wines are mostly French. The manager of the cafe has carefully selected wines to pair with... More

We had a great time at the Left Bank Cafe. The waitress moved us, mid-meal from the interior to the balcony overlooking the Saranac River. Now that is not much of a river in the middle of town, but it was nice to eat outside in the summertime. The salmon was lovely, the salads and desserts tasty. The menu is... More

I'm a local and this is a favorite place to enjoy a delicious meal in a peaceful setting. I've tried much of the menu and have never been disappointed. The salads with the meals are delectable. Dessert is outstanding, try the Creme Brulee. The waitstaff is friendly and pleasant, if a little inexperienced, but since I'm from here, I know... More

My food and coffee were really good and hot, but my fiance's food and coffee were cold. The place got really busy, but the servers seemed inexperienced and inefficient. I'm not a fan of themed places that put up posters of the featured country and have French-like details. I'd rather visit a place that is solidly staffed and where the... More

The setting for this restaurant is right in the middle of town and there is a narrow deck outside that overlooks a small stream. The menu is French-themed and you will hear French being spoken while you are there. A very relaxing place to eat a good meal.

This is a great french restaurant in the heart of downtown Saranac Lake. The setting is on the left bank of the local river with tables available on a balcony that overlooks the town and river. The entire staff are graduates of the Paul Smiths College of Culinary Arts. Great people and great food.
