And a recently renovated kitchen preparing a broad menu to fine standards. We reserved (a good idea on a busy weekend in full summer season) mid afternoon and were seated to a table for four on the outside deck right above the smoothly flowing river that flows out of Flower Lake. The service was relaxed and considerate and allowed our... More

Stumbled upon this..was not recommended to us by anyone and we couldn't believe our good luck to find it. Adorable, large Parisian like café on a river bank with indoor and outdoor seating. We were there for lunch but perused dinner and breakfast menus. All simple but extensive at the same time and a well chosen wine list. Excellent service... More

This restaurant is a delight! We were saddened a few years ago when our favorite restaurant in Saranac closed due to the building being sold. We have found a new one finally! This is not a place to be missed if you are in the area. The atmosphere is casually chic, the decor is charming and the food, the food... More

There was only one dinner menu. We were told to share it. Ordered appetizers--wrong order arrived. Waitress was rude about mistake. No salt or pepper on table. 45 minutes passed. When asked waitress if meal was coming she was rude and sarcastic. Bread arrived after meal was eaten. Then salt and pepper were put on table. Waitress gave the impression... More

My wife and I had just arrived in Saranac Lake for a three night stay. We selected this establishment based upon the advice of the operator of our B&B. As this was the middle of the week, there were few patrons and we were able to obtain an outdoor table along the river which exits Lake Flower. The staff was... More

After a great weekend camping on Saranac Lake we were looking for a nice place to eat an early lunch. So happy that we came across Left Bank Café, located right on the river. We were able to get one of the tables on the porch which was ideal. Ordered a delicious tartine with smoked salmon, dill and avocado. The... More

During the Fourth of July weekend we stopped in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with the most fantastic dinner. We started with a light and flavorful French Onion soup, followed by salad and duck confit with peaches. All were fabulous including our son's ratatouille stuffed pepper. The outdoor setting was simply gorgeous and our server was extremely knowledgeable about... More

We were walking along the street looking for somewhere inspiring and saw the sign that they had a live band playing at 7. This intrigued us so we went in to ask to look at the menu. The woman we spoke to was fantastic. She knew everything that was In the food and told me where I could substitute for... More

We stopped in for a sweet crepe and ice tea after an afternoon of walking around. We sat outside near the river watching people fish, it was very relaxing. The crepes were very good too. Unlike many crepe places we've been, the sweet crepes were not overly sweet. The balance of sweet was just right!

Left Bank Cafe offers a quiet spot next to the river to stop for lunch or dinner. Call ahead to see if they will have live music. The food is delicious and they have a great dessert menu. Who doesn't want dessert?! A wonderful addition to the town and a must visit if you are in the Adirondacks!
