Excellent!

We called for take-out, and had fantastic meals. I had the Reuben sandwich--a standard from which one normally doesn't expect much, but this one was filled with by far the best smoked corned-beef brisket that I've ever had. The jaeger schnitzel likewise was fantastic, the flavors were terrific, and... read more

I had the Reuben sandwich--a standard from which one normally doesn't expect much, but this one was filled with by far the best smoked corned-beef brisket that I've ever had. The menu is really good. I had a gyro, but not like the gyro you know. This gyro was more of a chef's gyro and it was very good. Soup was excellent. There are only 3 tables in the restaurant so the main business is take out, but it will be some of the best take out you have ever... More

My wife and I had planned our NE vacation from Ohio carefully with drives and stops along the Finger Lakes, the Adirondack's, The Green Mts of Vermont, The White Mts of NH, Mt Desert Island ME, Cape Ann MA, and the Hudson River Valley. We'd chosen our nightly accommodations, and even our meals, with the help of online reviews that... More

I'm sure the food here is good. Or their is really a high concentration of people with really poor beer saturated taste buds in saranac lake. I walked in to the restaurant with one table taken, and the other empty. The kid behind the grill told me it was a one hour. I immediately felt that I was being racially... More

1 hour waits can easily be expected when food is cooked fresh to order, and several people have phoned in their orders. And yes we probably racially profiled you if you were white. Your instincts are spot on. Thank you for your prejudiced review- and for leaving my restaurant. More

This place is so awesome. If you like any kind of originality, or some place that makes real food for a very modest price, this place is it! Everything is as local as possible. We are from Canada and were ao impressed. Delicious food great atmosphere. Their own style. I would eat here every day for the rest of my... More

This is quite a find. Wonderful food with lots of local character. They do a brisk take out business and ask that eat-in diners call in their orders in advance. Otherwise, there can be quite a wait. Dinner was wonderful - locally grown and made to order. We ate in the outdoor garden that is built into a hill -... More

returned to our former home for a wedding catered by Eat and Meet. We had enjoyed their take out for years but the menu for this event featured an exquisite gourmet menu for carnivores and vegetarians, with locally grown food. *****!

This restaurant is the opposite of fancy -- food served on tin foil pans or paper basket on mismatched tables and chairs in a somewhat disorganized place, but the food is all homemade from often local and in-season ingredients. The menu changes daily according to what is available. We liked the fish tacos and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brussel... More

Always something interesting. We use the takeout at least 2X a month during fall, winter and spring. ( we are away in the summer)

Found this restaurant via TA and the reviews didn't lie. I walked in with my little guy, ordered and they told us it would be 40 minutes. 40 minutes later the food was ready as promised. I would suggest calling ahead if time's an issue. I had the smoked salmon rueben and it was one of the best (and biggest!)... More
