Yes, this little "hole-in-the-wall" provides the best food south of Montreal. This is truly fabulous cooking. How did this wonderful chef end up here? Don't ask: I believe in miracles. Terrific diversity of food: innovative, yummy soups; many kinds of burgers and sandwiches; a very elaborate seafood menu (you didn't expect frog's legs in the mountains, did you?); and much... More

I had the best reuben ever here. Fresh, perfect amount of sauce, slaw and meat and on delicious toasted rye bread. Also, had onion rings that were light and fluffy, not heavy and greasy. Opted to try something new and ordered plantain dumplings. Soooo good, unique and perfect. Not a place to go or call if you are in a... More

We read about "Eat and Meet" in the December 2011 issue of ADK Life magazine. This inspired us to Google it for more information. It is considered mainly a take-out restaurant, but does have a few tables and chairs crammed in amongst all the food storage. The available seating area is mainly the food storage area. We loved the charm... More

It's worth a drive to Saranac Lake just to eat here. The menu has something for everyone with the freshest local ingredients gathered and deliciously prepared by chef John Vargo. His home-cooking is definitely worth the wait - you can browse the chef's larder of ingredients lined up (and for sale) on the dining room shelves - or call ahead... More

The food was exceptional. We tried a bunch of things from the menu...brussel sprouts, plantains, soup, creamy rhubarb pie...yum. Loved it. More

The food is ok. The wait time is absurd. I've been in there a fiew times and it seems like no matter what you order the wait time is between 45 - 60 minutes. Doesn't matter if it is a burger or a fajita. Atmosphere is horrible. The 2 tables are surrounded by stacks of boxes. More

While staying in Saranac Lake, checked out trip advisor and found this. The reviews don't lie, its REAL good. Small place so best bet is calling order in, in advance , and taking back to room/house to devour. Menu posted online daily. More

If you're in the Adirondacks, make sure to drop by this place. It may not look like much from outside (or even from inside - it's like a grocery store with two tables), but the food they serve is in all its simplicity delicious. We passed here on the last day of our 6 week vacation and were delighted how... More

I want to move back to Saranac Lake so that I can eat at Eat 'n Meet. It's that good. Get it to go, call ahead. They're serious when they say it's not fast, it's food. And by that, they mean the best food ever and more than worth the wait. I would eat there every day if that were... More
