Every time I visit my parents in Sag Harbor, I absolutely must go get oysters on the half shell from here. This little spot is right on the water, informal and fun.

Affordable prices. Everything is cooked to order. I had the grilled organic salmon over greens. The salad was fresh as well as the fish. I try to eat at this establishment once a year for the freshness and great prices. We took our food to go and sat at one of the picnic tables near the bay.
Very small place with just a few tables and no outside seating, but the food was fresh and even off season, the place was buzzing. You could buy fresh fish to take home & cook or cooked & take-out worthy. The clam chower was particularly good.
When you are in Sag Harbor, you must try the Dock House. Their clam chowder wins the Sag Harbor October restaurant cook off every year! The oysters on the half shell are very fresh. For a healthy main course, I suggest the grilled trio fish platter, with salad. Their french fries are the best I have tasted all summer. Dock...

After reading the mostly glowing reviews for The Dock House we could'nt wait to eat there. It's unbelievable after our visit that anyone could use the words great, good,or even ok in a review of this restaurant. We started with the baked clams or properly stated, clam flavored breadcrumbs served tepid. We followed that disaster with bowls of Lobster bisque, again...

Well ok, there are a couple of tables, which accounts for the rather lukewarm response I got when I tried to book a table for four. This place is all about fresh fish, taken outside, eaten on the dock side. It is not a restaurant, which is a shame - they would do well!
I ate at the Dock House with some friends recently, and despite my one friend being WAY too picky (not the fault of the restaurant), our server remained chipper and happy to help deal with him. The view is always nice, the food was fantastic, and the service outstanding.
It's a great place for Sunday brunch, or a sunset dinner...

Not too easy to find reasonably priced food out east that tastes great too, but the Dock House does not disappoint.
We started out with a pound and a half of steamed mussels which were delicious.
We then had the seafood burger which consisted of crab, shrimp and salmon and came with a side order of crispy yummy fries or...

Food was delicious, ate it down by the harbor while enjoying the sunset.
Wanted a fish spot to go to. Something easy, fresh and local. Read the reviews; looked promising. So went in, prices killed me, although this is the hamptons, still come on, 20$ lobster roll? They're not that bad in manhattan even and it wasn't that great! Too much mayo, and poor seasoning. Ordered some clam strips too; barely any clam...
