Description: We opened The Beacon up, way back in 2000. It's been a great success since Day 1, only growing better with the start of each new summer. We've learned a lot along the way about what it takes to make a summertime-only Hamptons restaurant move and groove. As the light on the East End changes and a new season approaches, we are reinvigorated by the beauty our region provides us. The menu, the wine, and some of the faces may change every year, but one thing never does: our full attention to you.

This restaurant is located in a waterside setting. A good friend and I have gone there regularly over the years. We always arrive early, since the restaurant does not take reservations. Tonight we arrived at 5:40 and waited by the gate to the restaurant which has two padlocks on it and were the second on line. When the gates opened... More

small bar.....always packed if you are lucky to get a table outside, that is the place to be. forget about the inside dining..... on a busy night...almost every night is this time of year, the inside dining area is deafening because of the low ceilings. wait staff has to yell out the specials. was there at 7 pm on a... This is why you come the the Hamptons, the foods good sometimes great but you can't beat the sun and the water. Great people watching, nice little bar, no reservations so don't fight the crowds when they open, go late and be relaxed go for a walk down Long Wharf after dinner and look at the Mega yachts. It's Summer... More

This will be the 14th year we (would) have been dining at the Beacon--since it opened. Does that matter to the owner or robotic front reception staff who don't care how loyal you are or that you are year-round residents who support and eat at all their other restaurants all year, especially during the slow winter off-season when they could... Keep in mind, you need to walk up a full flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. This may not be easy for some. Once you get there, the view is worth it. We had fish - skate and halibut - and it was nicely prepared. Dessert was good. Dining in this area is expensive and here, in addition,... More

This delightful restaurant is a must not only for the food, but for the stunning views of the harbour at sunset. We just made it in time! The food was delicious, and the service good. The only downside was that we were a party of seven, but had to sit at separate tables, and these were not even near each... More

When visiting Sag Harbor on the East End of Long Island, dinner at the The Beacon restaurant is a must. A lovely, lovely restaurant overlooking the bay and the marina. We have eaten there many, many times and were never disappointed. The menus are varied, inventive and food is beautifully presented as well as delicious. The staff is great and... More

Great atmosphere and good food. No reservations accepted so be prepared to wait and wait and wait. Once you get to sit down, the food and service are good. Expect dinner, etc to be about $100 per person.

Go early, they don't take reservations and one of the best things about this restaurant is the view, and the sunset over the marina. So, you will wait on line for a little while but it's worth it. The food is some of the best in Sag Harbor. Their pineapple martinis are divine. The mussels were very flavorful. The bouillabaisse... More

The sunset is the highlight of dining at Beacon. Food was disappointing especially the soggy, fish tacos. All the entrees was small and the only standout was the seared tuna.
