Description: We opened The Beacon up, way back in 2000. It's been a great success since Day 1, only growing better with the start of each new summer. We've learned a lot along the way about what it takes to make a summertime-only Hamptons restaurant move and groove. As the light on the East End changes and a new season approaches, we are reinvigorated by the beauty our region provides us. The menu, the wine, and some of the faces may change every year, but one thing never does: our full attention to you.

We had to wait to get a table but the food and feeling of the Beacon was great. People were lined up at the bar and clamoring for a table. Worth waiting for.

The setting is spectacular, especially just after sunset. We ate lightly so hard to say what the top drawer entrees were like. The salads were fine as were the mussels and the pork belly slider appetizers. The $42 cioppino sounded good though. Wine pricing was Hamptonesque. The owner (manager?) was visible and helpful. We enjoyed it. Dinner only. Also a... More

Not only is Sag Harbour my favorite town in the Hamtptons, they also have my favorite restaurant. The Beacon has a fantastic atmosphere, great bar area when waiting for you table on a busy night and the food is great. It's hard to pick a favorite, but many times they've had Seabass on special with a Chipotle sauce....incredible! Across the... More

We met friends here for dinner, arriving just before sunset. As other reviewers have mentioned, the sunset views from here are spectacular. We also enjoyed being able to see the boats in the marina. A lovely setting. Must trys: the portobello mushroom appetizer, and the pork belly/kimchi buns. My husband doesn't like mushrooms, and he loved the portobello mushroom appetizer.... More

It is worth the wait. Nothing bad about waiting for your name to be called while enjoying a drink and looking into the Harbor sunset. The service is OK, but the food is excellent and quite enjoyable. Ask for an outside table, and the experience will be complete. A keeper to keep coming back.

Owners Run Four Great Restaurants, Beacon, Fresno, Red Bar, and Bell & Anchor... Excellent Menu and Food, good Drinks, lively Atmosphere, with Beacon having the Best View of the LI Sound, The Sunset, and is located in the lively Village of Sag Harbor, which provides late evening open Shops, and the ability to walk off that Great Meal. Excellent food and service and spectacular views of the harbor. Pricey, but worth it for a special event-- in this case , my wife's birthday.

We were thrilled to be seated with a view of the water, but the menu proved somewhat limited, especially if you like to eat healthy. The place was packed and noisy. Our food came promptly enough, however, although the server seemed a bit harried. The food was okay, not spectacular.
