The menu is limited but really good quality. There is a sushi chef on premises who makes great rolls. We always take our out of town friends there as the view is spectacular and when Rye Playland has fireworks sitting outside watching them is an added treat. Johnny is usually around and walks the room. There is a full bar.... More

A nice warm night prompted me to go for a nice dinner with a nice view. Set right on the beach in Rye, the outdoor patio is a perfect place to sit and watch the world go dark (facing east, you don't get to see the sun set). Service was superb as our waitress was very attentive. The prices are... More

We went to seaside johnny and were fortunate to be seated outside, overlooking the bay on a hot summers night. Seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. Loved the baked clams and grilled lobster. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and homely. God, I wished there was something like this place in Australia, friendly, welcoming and wonderful seafood to... More

First thing I have to say is that the view amazing night of day. On Wednesday and Friday out of Playland you can see fireworks at 9:00. food is nice and service is good and price wise is ok.

Have been to Seaside Johnny's a bunch of times because it's on the beach, the food is fresh and it's only open a few months of the year. That being said, I was disappointed last night. Even waiting in line for the bathroom was filled with drama as several helicopter parents tried to circumvent the line to let their kids... More

Ordered a fried seafood platter ($29.50) which came very hot and loaded with an array of seafood (you can order it broiled). Included choice of fries or baked potato. This was shared since it is more than enough for two or three people. Also, had the tri-colored salad with gorgonzola cheese ($8.50). It was enough for 4 people. The service... More

This place is right on the beach. It's a nice place to have a drink and enjoy the view. They have an extensive menu but the food is mediocre. Go for the view not the food!

After reading so many reviews of this place, many of them very negative, we went there last evening. Ate outside, the view was great and the food was very, very good. The service was equally good. For really good seafood and a great view this place is perfect. Glad we didn't rely on the reviews on this and other sites... More

Cold filet mignon and fried shrimp!! Obviously, the cook was not just finished cooking it! Lost... More
