This was our first time at this small quaint cozy cafe. It has appx. 10 tables. We did have a reservation. Our appetizers were the mussels in wine, pretzel pizza with chicken & beef barley soup. Not a crumb or drop of soup was left! The main course we had was: salmon with honey mustard coating, skirt steak, filet mignon... More

Great ladies place to sit back, have a cup of tea and chat with your gal friends. Wide variety of teas. Great food and desserts. Reservations are a must for Saturday/Sunday brunch.

Quaint little place with approximately 12 tables. Two have couches as seats (by the windows). That being said, reservations are recommended! Have been there twice for dinner and tried different menu items. Did not disappoint. Both fish and beef dishes tasty. Although only 1 waitress and 1 bus boy for the entire restaurant, they were attentive enough.

I met my daughter at Chat Noir for brunch on a Saturday morning. Although the restaurant was quite empty I was asked if I had a reservation. I did, but I asked if it mattered. I was told they would not be able to seat me even though the restaurant stay sparsely occupied during our visit. In New York the... More

My husband and I went to Chat Noir Sunday for brunch - finally got a reservation! They can be hard to come by. The food was excellent, the crowd a bit noisy.

Love the concept of "tea" and CN does it well. Great place for the girls, but had lunch with my husband here as well; I had the tea and he had a terrific sandwich. We've gone as a family for dinner as well and in addition to having the best bread basket ever, the selections were interesting and delicious. Very... More

Chat Noir is a little gem in Rockville Center, NY. It is a Tea Room with a French flair. There is French music playing as a background for its basic Bistro menu which is more Parisian than another restaurant that I have reviewed (Bar Frites). It brings back fond memories of that lovely city and its small bistros. It is... More

What a lovely surprise this place was! We had lunch here - I had the croque monsieur and my guest had the lettuce roll ups, which are strips of chicken and romaine lettuce with three different dipping sauces. Can't wait to go back for afternoon tea. The service was excellent. Make a reservation if you can - I didn't think... More
