The Alexander St version of Gusto went out of business in the Fall of 2012. A sushi place has been there since. There is a stand at the airport called "Gusto" which is still sometimes open, but TA won't adjust the address or close this location.

Been here a number of times and we always really enjoy it. Food is good, service is good, its just a great place to eat and drink. Love the soups and specials, oh and...you have to get some Cheesy Eddie's carrot Cake to finish the meal.

Gusto is a really nice Italian restaurant in the East End of Rochester. An area with restaurants, bars and clubs. It's in an old building right on the street level with windows all around. It's a great place to people watch and get good Italian food. I'm not sure that any of the pasta is homemade perhaps the gnocchi is.... More

you definitely get your money's worth at this place! The quality of the food and service is remarkable. Being a vegetarian I have found it is not difficult to find something to chow down!

Great food, terrific service. Great casual place. Next time we need to leave room for the desserts. We decided we wanted meatballs for an appetizer, even though it was not on the menu; NO PROBLEM! Nice presentation for a special request and still arrived in time to be considered an appetizer

Our first visit to Gusto should have ended in from of locked doors, as the owner had just changed the hours a few days earlier. But before we could turn and leave, the doors were unlocked, and we were ushered in to the cozy ristorante/paninoteca. The hospitality extended by the owner was carried on by the waitress, who never batted... More

I got the pasta special when I went and it was delicious. Wine good too. Good location in the East End. The only negative aspect of the trip was that the the owner became involved in our conversation (not without an invitation) but I think he should've been more diplomatic in his comments.

We go to Gusto every time we visit family in Rochester. The draw is the gluten-free pizza. It is amazing. The crust reminds me of 'real' pizza crust (from what I remember before I had to go gluten-free). The service is amazing - no rushing. We sat for hours - first appetizers (a great anti-pasto platter to start) and drinks.... More

We really wanted this to be a great night out with family, but we had the worst service I've seen in Rochester. They did not seem to care that we were there, even though the place was nearly empty. My brother became sick for days after eating the pizza here. While my Ravioli was OK, it was nothing special. I... More

Went here with a party of six. It was not very busy, and we were seated right away, and it seemed like a nice place. From then on the service was very slow and indifferent- waited too long for drinks, bread, appetizers and main courses. They didn't bring plates for the bread (to pour oil). They took a long time...
