we went here for an anniversary dinner. the prices were very high and the food did not match the price. we were highly let down.
What a great experience! We arrived there with no reservation ( they are not in open table) and they only had space by the bar. To our surprise, they have a " private section" by the bar that sat 8 people very comfortable! The service and hospitality was amazing from the first moment that we arrived. Fabulous wine selection with... More
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rochester. Other than incredibly outstanding food and wine, plate presentation, attentive service, a feature we love the most is the peaceful surroundings and quiet atmosphere. You can dine deliciously and elegantly and still hear the conversation! So many restaurants seem overly noisy today and it's a pleasure to dine in one where... More
I came from out of town to take my boyfriend to the "best steakhouse" in Rochester for his birthday. We were seated in the corner next to the door, which I thought was odd, but didn't want to question since we were celebrating. The service and drinks were good but the food was disappointing. I ordered oysters as an appetizer... More
Our waitress, Tina, was new but very friendly and attentive. We were casually dressed so ate in the bar whiched worked our well, they've got a few tables in the back. Stuffed squash blossoms were a tasty start. Filet mignon was dry aged and cooked properly at medium rare. Maple sweet potato mash was too sweet and roasted Brussel sprouts... More
We stayed at the Inn on Broadway and had dinner at Tournedos. Excellent meal with excellent service. Ashley and Mark took care of us and the service was wonderful and the suggestions were spot on. First , the bread served before dinner is to die for. Chewy on the inside, crisp and crunchy on the outside with a garlic, herb... More
This was one of the finest, and most expensive, meals I've ever had the pleasure to experience. From start to finish it was quality and attention to detail. The bread was great (served with both dipping oil and butter). The Spanish Clams with chorizo were great. The dry aged, bone-in porterhouse was great.(I'd never had dry aged beef before Friday night.... More
Tournedos is an excellent restaurant. The food is well prepared and the menu includes several seafood dishes in addition to steaks. The level of service is rarely seen anymore. Dining at Tournedos is truly an elegant experience.
Saturday night dinner with 4friends turned into the longest day. Food was very good but not worth waiting 90+ minutes. Service was inexcusably bad and the restaurant was not even full. Don't know if the fault was with the waiter or the kitchen. Be prepared for a VERY leisurely meal.
Had dinner with friends. Reservation was handled courteously and promptly. Waiter was friendly and pleasant. Food was good. Those who had steak thought that it was excellent. Ambience was pleasant. However, the overshadowing issue of the evening was the fact that there was a long delay in delivery of the food . . . the main course finally arrived approximately... More
