Great atmosphere and Englsh food and beers. The Yorkshire Pudding dinner was real comfort food. You would not have known you were in Rochester, NY.

Great atmosphere! 10/10 on decor and atmosphere. Excellent drink and bar list; the food was underwhelming. Out of five at our table, nobody enjoyed their food. Overcooked beef and puddings, soggy salad, and fish was not crispy; fries cold. That said, trivia night is fantastic, drinks are second to none, service was great, and as stated earlier, the restaurant oozes... More

We did not eat here but thoroughly enjoyed a very pleasant evening with both good staff and a good crowd of people - the main difference between this and an English/London pub was the number of other customers we chatted with in the Old Toad! The food looked nice but we had already ate but the lengthy list of beers... More

If you are in the mood for beer and a cozy pub atmosphere this is a good place to check out. I heard from a local that the food is really good as well. It seemed to be a 20-30-something crowd, though exclusively so. There are lots of places to sit close so you can actually hear one another.

When we went, there were notices on each of the tables indicating that summer students from the UK were on internship to learn about how a small business is run and to be aware that the service may be a little rough as a result. But, actually, we were pleased with our service, give a take a few glitches, and... More

I've never been to England, so I can't really judge its authenticity, but we got a genuine English server, from Devon, with a charming accent. And the food was fresh, varied, and original. There were three of us, and we had fish and chips, "arrogant bangers" (vegetarian sausages), and a risotto. All very tasty. Beers for two, glass of wine... More

I have had a lot of fish fries. Rochester has many places that have fish fries, although one usually has to wait til Friday to get one. Not here, no sir-eeee. Thank you, Lord. Phenomenal. Just awesome. Cream of the crop. The fries were double fried and homemade. The fish was hand battered and made in house. Amazing. I can't... More

I have been to the Old Toad a couple of times and each time has been very good. I really like the atmosphere here as it feels authentically British. Every time I've eaten here the food has been good. My most recent trip was after a business meeting in the area so I had to eat by myself. I was... More

Quick stop for a celebratory pint recently. Great beer selection! Good pub menu. Went with a quick scotch egg...the real deal, great! Cool English atmosphere like you have really stepped into a pub in a London town square. Would certainly visit again!

Great and varied beer list choices. Dinner options good, and favorably reminiscent of London pub food. I had shepherds pie. Very good. Atmosphere is of a well worn, comfortable local pub.
