Tasty Food

Our first experience with Ethiopian Food was in New York City, didn't think we'd find anything upstate to compare, but this was very good. Price was good, we got a little bit of everything, so for the quantity we received, it was worth it. Menu is very limited, but I was able to find something to... read more

I had a $25 restaurant certificate which requires a $50 expenditure. For 2 this seemed easy with wine and desserts. I planned a Sunday lunch. Contrary to internet info, they are not open on Sundays, do not serve wine and beer and do not have a dessert menu. So I was hard pressed to spend more than $25. We went on... More

The good was extremely tasty, well prepared and beautifully presented. The two of us shared the veggie combo and a lamb dish ($7.95 each). There were do many different flavors that my tastebuds could not be bored! I have eaten at much fancier and more expensive Ethiopian restaurants -and none as enjoyable. It is a tiny place with a relaxed... More

Wanted to try some new places around Rochester. Flipped a coin on this and another place and went here. Food was wonderful. Clearly fresh produce with every dish. Food was plentiful. The taste was spicy without being all about making your mouth numb. Sever was very nice and helped this new eater to this type of food. would go back... More

Let me start by saying that I am still full from what I ate for lunch yesterday. That was one of the most satisfying meals I've had in a while. I am New to Rochester. I was craving me some Ethiopian fare. I found this restaurant in TA. I also found Abysinnia. To be honest I went to Abyssinia first.... More

We've eaten here at least 3 times & have always enjoyed the food. They have a buffet, but we usually order the vegan/vegetarian sampler plate. Cute neighborhood on Clinton Ave. No liquor license, so no wine or beer available on premises. Restaurant is small & cozy. Meat dishes available as well.

The Rochester NY area has by our count at least 4-5 Ethiopian restaurant establishments, against all odds. This small sitdown location, is among the most reasonable and the cuisine is excellent. We enjoy of course the various chick peas, lentil and vegetarian offerings, along with various meat in the tibs offering, all boundaried by the inevitable injera sponge bread. It... More

I adore this restaurant. The food is fantastic. The woman who runs the front of house is always smiling and remembers me every time I visit. I love the vegetarian buffet on Fridays and Saturdays.

Had never had Ethiopian before, really enjoyed it. Small place, sparse but nice decorations. If you like spicy food, this is for you. Server was very pleasant.

Their Ethiopian food is excellent. But plan on a long long wait and don't expect the order to be right. We ordered a meat combination and eventually the vegetarian combo came out. The waitress asked if we needed injera. Of course. It never came. But the vegetable plate was delicious. We had ordered 3 dishes for carry out and one... More
