Great food and service

We went for Easter Brunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the service as well as the food. Seated right away and drinks ordered. Great timing between appetizers and entree. Food hot and delicious. Will be returning soon.

Went there for the first time last nite. Thought this was an upscale place to go, but the service was horrible. At the table it took 30 minutes for a drink, and it took an hour to get bread on our table after asking the waiter twice. My food was good, not great, and the portion very underwhelming.

I have always really liked this restaurant so my husband took me here for our wedding anniversary dinner this year. We had excellent service at the bar, Nick is quite personable and took great care of us. Once we were seated it was all downhill. Our server was impersonal and spent minimal time with us. We ordered 2 glasses of... More

You won't be sure you're walking into the right place when you approach 2 Vine. There are no signs on the outside of the building. Back in the day, that was because you had to be "in the know" to know it. And that tradition stuck. This is a great old building that used to be a carriage repair house,... More

This at one time was one of the finer dining experiences in Rochester. Over the second half of 2014 to date my opinion as been on a roller coaster which has finally fallen into the ground. The service from hostess, bar personnel to wait staff is extremely poor, rude and unacceptable. Wine glasses with lipstick (I do not wear same),... More

Restaurant 2 Vine is known as one of the finer restaurants in downtown Rochester. Most of my experiences have been very good but the last visit was a business lunch and I have to say it was a bit disappointing. We met for lunch on a bitterly cold winter day and the restaurant was not extremely busy. That being said... More

Worst experience ever! My boyfriend spent all this time researching restaurants in Rochester to find the perfect place for Valentine's day. The website had NOTHING about a special menu for Valentine's day only. When we finally got seated (after waiting an extra 15 minutes despite having a reservation) there was only one menu and you had to pay $60 a... More

Superb dinning experience here. The service was prompt, courteous, professional. I had the beet salad - delicious! The risotto was great and the duck was excellent too! It's a little fancy, but not snobby. I felt okay wearing jeans. Great experience there.

I had lunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester yesterday. I hadn't been in several months and it is still the standard by which others are judged. The oysters (small malpeques from New Brunswick) were fantastic, the nova salmon was great (although it was on a bed of kale, which I detest), and the crème brûlée was wonderful.... More
