personal and attentive service, great food. wine list(if you consult the owner) superb as there are sleepers.
Chuck and Joann make sure their guests feel their warmth. The atmosphere is intimate and warm. The staff makes you feel like you are the most important people in The restaurant. The appetizers and salads are all unbelievable. It is their fish dishes that make us go back often. Unique fresh fish excellently prepared. I love their codina fish in... More
Being a foodie, I'm both ashamed and delighted after visiting Ristorante Lucano right here in my own home town or Rochester NY. It is our friends favorite restaurant and I was ashamed, when they asked us to join them for dinner, to tell them I had never been there before. On the other hand, we were delighted with the entire... More
Had a business lunch here. Was pleasantly surprised by awesome food, great service and a very nice atmosphere. There were only 3-4 tables seated for lunch, so it was quiet. Felt like we had the place to ourselves.
My husband and I are delighted every time we dine here. Love the servers the smell the wine and the Italian food . Always great specials.
After living in Rochester for our whole life, we looked on Trip Advisor to try a new restaurant & saw Lucano. The owners bring a special touch to this family run restaurant. The food was of the highest quality, & atmosphere comfortable! We can see why Lucano's is ranked #1 in Rochester!! We will certainly go back! Our waiter was... More

I particularly love the fava bean puree starter and the gnocchi in lamb sauce, but haven't had anything short of great here. The service is personal, attentive, with knowledgeable and sensible wait staff who never write down a thing and never get the order wrong. The owners have... More
My husband and I dined here on our way through Rochester. We were so impressed. Crusty, authentic Italian bread, a couple of good by the glass wines, pleasant atmosphere and really excellent food. We weren't humgry enough for all the courses but my gnocchi was divine and my husband's papparadelle, exquisite! Service was fine and we were pleased not to... More
