I (again) had the lasagna. Just reminds me of my Italian aunt's cooking. The waitstaff and Jamie are wonderful. The salad with crumbly bleu cheese and the warmed dipping sauces for the bread are delicious. I should try other foods here (although I have had the Chicken Parm and their Greens & Beans. A nice place and great food.

It was our first time at Roncone's on Lyell Ave to meet friends to catch up we hadn't seen in awhile! The neighborhood was a little sketchy but no one bothered us and walked in to a comfortable and friendly setting. Mary was our wait staff and could not be nicer! She went along with all our chatter, laughing and... More

Had a hankering for Italian and haven't been to Roncone's in a while. Lots of regulars come here as evidenced by the overly friendly greeting many patrons got. We were here to eat. I was prepared to get my usual linguine with white clam sauce. That was until I dipped my bread into the red sauce, Mmmmm. Angel hair pasta... More

Worst meal I have ever spent money on. Ate on Friday night. This place seriously reminded us of a restaurant that would be on Chef Ramsey's Kitchen nightmares- he undoubtedly would have thrown a FIT over this meal. That might all the review you need. But for more details, keep reading. I should have known this was a mistake when... More

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday night while in town for a conference. First and foremost, the food was great. Everything was delicious and the restaurant had a nice family-style atmosphere. The courses were well timed and the drinks were prompt. This isn't the best part of the story. Seeing as it wasn't a long walk from our hotel,... More

On my first visit last year, I have the chicken parmesan, which was delicious. The other day, I returned for the fish, haddock I believe. This time, I wasn't as impressed. The fish was a little mushy and should have been more flaky. The pasta is outstanding, as is the sauce and meatballs. A solid Italian restaurant in a bad... More

I was pretty disappointed. After driving into the city I was expecting a hidden gem based on it's long reputation. The food was average Italian fare - nothing special. The dining room was pretty worn out. The service was excellent - you could tell they were well trained. They can't do anything about the neighborhood except maybe think about relocating.... More

If you're craving good Italian food, at a great price, Roncone's is your place. Joe and his staff will make you feel right at home. For me, this is my go-to place now. It used to be Mr. Dominic's (we all know what happened there...) and Romeo's. I can honestly say that there's heart in this place. You can feel... More
