The food is good here. The atmosphere is basic, nothing fancy. The neighborhood is a bit rough but ok to visit for lunch in the day time.the folks there are pleasant and the service is good. Try take out if you prefer .good sauce.

On my first visit last year, I have the chicken parmesan, which was delicious. The other day, I returned for the fish, haddock I believe. This time, I wasn't as impressed. The fish was a little mushy and should have been more flaky. The pasta is outstanding, as is the sauce and meatballs. A solid Italian restaurant in a bad... More

I was pretty disappointed. After driving into the city I was expecting a hidden gem based on it's long reputation. The food was average Italian fare - nothing special. The dining room was pretty worn out. The service was excellent - you could tell they were well trained. They can't do anything about the neighborhood except maybe think about relocating.... More

If you're craving good Italian food, at a great price, Roncone's is your place. Joe and his staff will make you feel right at home. For me, this is my go-to place now. It used to be Mr. Dominic's (we all know what happened there...) and Romeo's. I can honestly say that there's heart in this place. You can feel... More

This restaurant was amazing! The prices were low, serving size was large, and everything tasted wonderful! Our waitress was really nice, and the drink refills were spot on with timing! Also loved the more family feel this restaurant had, and part way through our dinner a musician came in and was finger picking on his guitar, and it was so... More

My husband and I eat here at least once a month. We LOVE it. Food is excellent as is the service. Joe and staff are fabulous! Also, if you are worried about safety, I've never been here when there weren't a few police officers enjoying dinner. Finest Italian establishment in Rochester! Best part about it, the food is affordable! 2... More

I last visiting Roncone's back in the day, probably the late 1980's and early 90's. My understanding is that the place has gone through one or more changes of ownership during that time span to today. We used our Groupon for $40 to have dinner and were very disappointed. It may be that my daughter is a chef and graduated... More

This was our first visit. I had italian wedding soup which was very tasty, and chicken parmesan. The food was absolutely piping hot, which my husband loved. Service was super quick. The best part for us was the acoustic guitar player which entertained....so talented! would go back just to hear him

Anytime ive ever eaten here it is great. Been going here for 20 years now. The food is the best around and always fresh. Cheap and quick is how it goes in here. Fresh bread with dipping sauces and great waitress make a visit here well worth time. Bad neighborhood but what ya gonna do?

This is the proverbial hole in the wall. The food was excellent and very reasonalbly priced. I had the salmon special with lobster ravioli, yum. My daughter had egg plant and my husband had the lasagne. We had calamari and fried ravioli for appetizer. Everything was sooo good including the service. The food tastes like it is home cooked Italian.... More
