Very reasonable lunch place for fine dining. The tuna croissant was really packed with tuna, not gooey just tasty. The best was the walnut chocolate chip pie ( warm) with vanilla ice cream! TO die for!

Over the summer, I was bombarded with coupons for Phillips. Now I see why. The food has gone so far downhill that I wonder if this place can survive on desserts alone. Responding to their Monday Chicken French special, 3 friends and I went there for dinner. What a mistake! The chicken was LITERALLY inedible ... and uncuttable. I joked... More

It's a restaurant but we always go gorgeous desert. You have your choice of absolutely the largest selection of deserts you will ever find in a restaurant. They are a chocolate lovers delight! You will have so many choices it will be difficult to decide. Their cheesecakes are delicious, creamy and they have a great selection too. Pecan caramel is... More

Stopped at this restaurant for a late lunch in a recent visit to Rochester. Surprised at the number of people for a late Friday afternoon. The first thing you notice is a beautiful dessert case. The decor is very homey with curtains on the windows and attractive booths and tables. We ordered sandwiches, a Reuben and grilled chicken. They were... More

I've had lunch here several times when in Rochester. The Chicken French is excellent - the best I've had. I get it with angel hair pasta - and it comes with a few perfectly done vegetables - carrots and sugar snap peas today. The desserts look incredible, but I've never had room to try them, as the luncheon portion is... More

The meal was not very good. The soup was too salty and the salmon was a bit "wet." The Chocolate torte was fabulous. I can see why people rave about their desserts.

Great desserts. I've never actually had anything but the desserts here. The cakes are outstanding and a great way to end any night while in Rochester. There is a good selection of choices for dessert and I have had quite a few, combined with the many people I have taken here there has not been anything negative to say about... More

Excellent European food, calm classical music, professional and helpful waiter, outstanding desserts, altogether very pleasant atmosphere. We were lucky enough to choose this restaurant for dinner while passing Rochester on our trip. Were perfectly happy with the choice. Hope to be there again some day.

Haven't been to Phillips in awhile. After reading some reviews it seemed like things went downhill since last visit, several years ago. Base on past experiences took the wife there for her birthday today. Had Veal Marsala and Steak au Poivre. Food was outstanding, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Service was great, nice wine list. Finished off with the... More

Dinner on 7/2/14 was outstanding as always. My husband had the poached salmon, which he loved, and I had the Thai chicken and scallops - yum! We both totally went over the top with the caramel pecan cheesecake for dessert and fresh coffee. I would call Phillips a hidden gem; it's not on a main road and is not in... More
