Five of us went for dinner on a Saturday night and the place was busy. Food quality was variable. The soup was delicious. Most of our dishes were good, but not the best Thai we've had. We did not care for the pad thai. Its sauce was quite different from that of all the other pad thais we've had elsewhere.... More

My husband and I try Thai food if we're in a new place...ithe food at the King and I was a little different than what we are used to but still very good! We had Chicken Coconut Soup and Pad Thai pork. Servings were generous and food tasty! The people working there were very nice and helpful!

The menu is wide and varied and will appeal to most pallets. The food is always piping hot and fresh. The service is efficient and the staff is friendly. I frequent at this restaurant particularly at lunch time with colleagues because you can get a great meal, priced right and fast! The good news though is they never rush you!

we keep coming back here for two reasons. Every dish we have tried is very flavorful and plentiful. The second is they have an extensive vegetarian menu which the vegan members of our family enjoy. Definitely a place to put on your list.

Some of the best Asian food in Rochester. Their tofu is divine (not something we can say about the tofu at many places!) so it is a vegetarian heaven. It has a very large vegetarian menu. The spicy vegetable, vegetable cashew and Evil Jungle Prince are among my favorites. Their lunch menu is especially good, and comes with their delicious... More

This is just about the best restaurants in every aspect. Great prompt service. A host of variety in Thai food dishes - from ordinary to highly spiced. The service was very rapid and courteous. The helpings were much too much for what we ordered. And the quality was exceptional. Whoever gets the opportunity really must dine out in this well,... More

Lunchtime on a Tuesday can be dicey believe it or not. Not only are suicides more prevalent on Tuesday than any other day of the week, but they nonchalantly try to squeeze themselves between the alleged worst day of the week and some ambiguous milestone called Wednesday. However, the folks at the King & I are obviously so feverishly trying... More

Had dinner here from recommendations of locals - everyone in Rochester knows this place. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Big portions. Friendly service! Will definitely come back.

We had a fairly good meal here one evening. It was good but not spectacular. Seeing another writer's comments about the staff being mostly Chinese who staff it would explain why it was good but not really Thai since the employees are not themselves Thai.

The food here isn't bad for what it is, and the portion was large. But it's NOT authentic. Staff seems to be all Chinese, from conversations I could hear, and half the art on the wall is, too. As far as the food, Pad Thai varies widely from region to region in Thailand, but no cook would put ginger and... More
