Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food...

Let me first say in all the times that I have been here, I have never been in the dining room, I have always sat at the bar... and it's great! Perfect place for a cocktails & a few delicious bites. The bartenders are always friendly & attentive even when it's busier. The mussel's are hands-down my... read more

We booked well in advance for a February 14th dinner reservation. It appeared they weren't ready for the rush of people. We waited 25 minutes to be seated - they kept blaming the bad weather, and although it was very cold, there wasn't a snow storm (we've seen a lot worse). The service was prompt, and friendly, but the meals... More

Parking After 6 is free in front of the restaurant. Greeted in the phone by a very friendly staff. Really pleasant and helpful giving me directions. Sat at the bar and was hosted by one of the owners. Great story behind this place. Wonderful space decoration and music. Tapas fusion. Latin Greek Mediterranean Indian etc. Loved the calamari salad. Loved... More

We stopped at Tapas 177 late night for food and drinks. The food was great. The menu had all types of food from oriental, Mediterranean, and South American. The drinks were also great with good atmosphere.

Tapas is one of my favorite Restaurants in our area. The wine and drink list is outstanding and the menu always creative. A couple of my favorite items are the Tuna Tartar and the Mussels. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere rustic with great background music. Advise is always on hand as to which wine might be a... More

On a trek across New York State, we stopped in Rochester for the night. Tapas 177 sounded good and we gave it a try. Several small plates later, we left happy and satisfied. The marinated olives were outstanding. Chicken empanadas, Bulgogi Crisp, Sher Ping Pancakes, and Mac and Cheese with bacon and shrimp were really delicious. All chased with a... More

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Tapas. We had not been to the restaurant before and wanted a new experience. We could not have asked for more. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive, sincere, and a pleasure to interact with. We were a party of four, and each of us felt equally positive about the service.... More

We were looking for something different in the Greater Rochester area and decided on Tapas 177 after reading their menu on the inter-tube thingy. In spite of the cold rain falling the bar was hopping and it seemed to have a pretty vibrant and young clientele, but we were there for dinner and dinner is served in the lower level.... More

I was staying at the Rochester Plaza hotel and after one look at the hotel restaurant I decided to look elsewhere for dining opportunities. The woman at security was kind enough to recommend this place and it was only 0.3 mile from the hotel. On arriving this establishment has a comfortable and inviting ambiance. The bar is situated on the... More

Tapas was an unexpected little gem. The food was very good and so was the wine selection. They boast "Best martini" however I don't know if I would agree. I had the spicy dirty martini... it was SMALL.. not spicy, not strong and overall tasted watered down. My friend had the chocolate martini which came with a rolo in the... More
