Tapas was an unexpected little gem. The food was very good and so was the wine selection. They boast "Best martini" however I don't know if I would agree. I had the spicy dirty martini... it was SMALL.. not spicy, not strong and overall tasted watered down. My friend had the chocolate martini which came with a rolo in the... More

Great location anyone living or staying in the city. Even found convenient parking on a weekday night. Bar on street level; dining on lower level but you can enter TAPAS 177 from the lower level where there is a ramp for those with mobility issues. We dined on 6 different appetizers which were all delicious and unique. Have to admit... More

I was attending a conference in the Rochester area and asked the concierge at the hotel where a good place for a little nosh would be. She suggested Tapas 177, just down the road. My colleagues and I walked the few blocks and entered what appeared to be a typical bar but without many tables. We told the fellow at... More

Went for a friends birthday. Food was delectable as were the drinks! We still talk about our night at Tapas and plan to return!

Had some rice paper veggie wraps and chicken dumplings. Average. A bit pricey for what was served. Apparently an Americanized tapas like restaurant. The feel and atmosphere of the place really sells it. Would be amazing for a date. If you can find something off the menu. Not your standard fair. Might return.

Sunday nights over the past 2 summers, my boyfriend and I find ourselves eating delicious appetizers and sipping on perfectly shaken martinis. Since we are both in the restaurant business, we never get to experience Friday and Saturday nights out - but a Sunday night at Tapas always feels like the nights we miss out on! Elissa is the best... More

Spent the weekend in Rochester with some friends and we were looking for a new place with music. We found Tapas 177 and what a delight. Old store front type building with the main eating, bar and music area downstairs, OK this could be interesting. We sat in a cozy outside area where a 3 piece jazz combo was playing.... More

After a long day at the office a small group of us (7) went and was promptly seated on the backyard patio. Excellent service and a great small plates selection.

Tapas 177 is a favorite of my husband and I. We returned there to celebrate my husband's birthday on Saturday. The area where the restaurants sits in not the greatest at night, but they do have valet parking. They charge $5 which is a bit of a turnoff. The bar is on the main floor. They have wonderful concoctions for... More

Excellent food, tremendous wait staff and reasonable prices. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Rochester.
