Great Italian in a quiet, quaint venue

While visiting my daughter (a student at RIT) we had the pleasure of eating at Bacco's. Although we did not have a reservation, we stopped in to see if there was seating available on a record setting cold Friday evening. We were promptly greeted by an attendant and subsequently by Giovanni himself. He quickly set a table for two. We... More

My husband and I went to Baccos with a few friends in December for dinner. It is a small place, so definitely make a reservation. We started with the greens and beans, my husband and another guest at our table, both said as well as I, that they were some of the best greens and beans we have had. I... More

We dropped in without as a reservation as we walked by and it smelled delicious from the street. The service was good, the food was good and the ambiance quite pleasant.

My wife and I ate here recently with my uncle and aunt. I had not been since Bacco's changed ownership. The food was excellent. Seafood was fresh - the calamari was not tough, and the sauce on the Mussels Fra Diavolo was sublime. Salads were well dressed, and all of our entree's were excellent. I was particularly pleased by my... More

We dropped in on a Saturday night after arriving in town. The owner offered to clear a table for us if we could wait a moment. From that friendly greeting to the great service to the classic Italian dishes felt like a little slice of Italy in the heart of Rochester. The bread was made fresh and still warm in... More

We called for a reservation at 5pm on a Saturday and was accommodated by the owner with grace. Getting a table for dinner for 4 at the last minute is almost impossible, but we were in luck. The Ristorante in easy to get to, has parking in the back, and is casual elegance and fine food. Our Server was helpful... More

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for dinner last month, on the advice of other reviews on TripAdvisor. We wanted to try another restaurant that night but it was closed for vacation so we ended up at Bacco's. We were pleasantly greeted by waiter and owner. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna and I ordered the Veal Milanese. The veal... More

Starting with the warm greeting by Giovavanni, we felt we had chosen a special place for a dinner while visiting RIT for graduation weekend. The restaurant is located in a decent neighborhood, in an old renovated house. There are only about 12 tables, so there's a feeling that you're visiting old friends for dinner. For those wanting atmosphere, this place... More

We stayed at a nearby hotel and were too tired to drive so we looked for a local restaurant within walking distance.Upon arrival, we were a little apprehensive as it was in an older house. Warmly greeted by owner and his wife (who waited the tables). Excellent neighborhood Italian restaurant. Good wine choices at affordable prices. Don't second guess yourselves,... More
