Tony D's has the best restaurant location in Rochester--in Corn Hill, right on the Genesee River. The food is very good, and the service is outstanding. Two problems--no reservations except for groups of six or more, and really noisy inside. In fact, the noise level was so loud--both diners' voices and music--that we literally couldn't hear each other across the... More

We stopped at Tony D's for a drink and appetizer after the show. I rated it "very good" because we only sat in the bar area and did not have a full meal. The service was prompt and the Arancini was delicious. I would definitely go back and try their dinner menu.

I went to Rochester recently for a business meeting. I read about Tony Ds from other reviews here on tripadvisor. We arrived for lunch around 12:30pm. The place was already crowded but we were seated right away (party of 3). It took about 20 minutes before our pizzas arrived so I would caution if you are looking for a quick... More

I will start out on a slightly positive note regarding this restaurant and move on to my recent experience. I've been here multiple times. The pizza is tasty and the meatballs are my favorite part of the menu. If you sit outside the view is excellent; inside it can be a little loud. The service is always friendly and overall... More

We have been there many times, and never disappointed. Bar, dinning room and kitchen staff are among the best in town. If you are alone or with a date, a seat at the chef's table is well worth it, it is total sensory immersion. I hesitate recommending any one item over another, you can't go wrong with any item on... That pizza totally lived up to my expectations per other Trip Advisor folks like yourself that went recently. I had my own pizza done with whole kalamata lives, goat cheese, pepperoni and mushroom. They also had a great selection of beers, but none on tap. I sat at the bar and had great service and conversation. And you know if... More

Went with a friend to grab a bite to eat. The atmosphere was ok- a little smoky from the open kitchen. It was very loud and the seating was cramped. I couldn't hear our own conversation. Food was good though! We had dirty glasses at our table- the waitress was very nice and immediately brought back clean ones. Service was... More

I have eaten here about 4 times and each time I have a great experience. The food is consistently excellent. We always get a pizza and something else to share since the pizzas are amazing. We sat at the "chefs table" once, basically at the counter in front of the kitchen, where the chef is cooking. It was very fun... More

Came on a family trip to Rochester and went to dinner here. The view from our seats was great, overlooking the Genesee River. Our food came quickly and was very good. Excellent pizza for sure. The atmosphere is probably the best quality. Very warm, dark, and cozy, with the fireplace in view to watch. While we had no issues with... More

I went to Tony D's a couple months ago with my husband. It was far more popular than we were expecting and we had to wait for almost an hour. However, unlike other restaurants where you have to just sit on a bench with a buzzer and wait forever, Tony D's had a wonderful and relaxing bar area with amazing... More
