Disappointed

I started coming to this place since it has opened and it has slowly gone downhill. Don't get me wrong the food is good but it is definitely hit and miss on the service and the capabilities of the chef. My last visit really questions if I will be back. Our chef "Shogun" was so full of himself and... read more

We went in last Mon. night and were never offered Hibachi, so we set out to order. Both meals came w/soup and salad and a choice of rice(up charge for fried rice). While the sale was fine, the soup was awful…tasted like old fish stock, not miso soup. Then shortly before dinner arrived we were informed there was no more... More

The food was very good, cooked right in front of us but the entertainment was the dessert! Our cook, forgot name but was wearing complete NY Giants outfit, gave us laughs throughout the entire dinner. He was literally a comedian who cooked on the side. He kept us engaged the entire time and made the meal a real treat. The... More

This place is a little pricey, but worth it. The food is great and you get a lot of it. The chef's put on a great show. The kids loved it. We came with a large group of 20 and were all able to squeeze in at the same table. Lots of fun.

While my husband enjoys his Maki rolls I am able to savor my Chicken fried rice made with sushi rice that I can absolutely not stop eating.

We went there at my daughter's request. The menu was a mix of Japanese/Chinese. That was the first red flag. The sushi was OK except for one dish which was fried sushi(recommended by the waiter). Second red flag. The vegetable tempura was not as light as I expected. We did not order from the Chinese menu. Lets face it, fried... More

I love the food, and the show Shogun gave us last night was great. My 5 year old was nervous about the fire, so he made sure to tell her any time he was about to cause a flame so she could back up. While we waited for a table, the hostess let my kids feed the fish in the... More

If you go here for hibachi, make sure you get Shogun as your chef or else leave. It is a beautiful restaurant but it is on the cold side - bring a jacket. You do pay for the experience and he will give a good one - I will not endorse any of the others.

At first I was impressed by the ambiance. Very nice inside, but it was very cold. I wanted to sit at the table with my jacket on. People around us had their jackets on as well. The service was horrible, it took our food literally, no exaggeration, 50 minutes to come out. I got Salmon and it was still raw.... More

My wife and I have been to Shogun Palace numerous times since it opened and have never been disappointed. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the menu has lots of choices including hibachi, tempura and “Chinese” classics such as General Tso. There is something for everyone. They offer numerous special rolls, and can tailor any dish to your custom... More
