I dined as a table of 4 for dinner on a busy Saturday night with 8pm reservations. Cocktails are inventive and tasty. We shared 4 dishes - salmon salad, squid ink cavetelli, white pizza and the famous burger & fries. Every dish was absolutely delicious and we cleaned the plates. Plenty of food for the 4 of us. We were... More

First time having dinner at good luck last night. My guy and I eat out 3+ nights a week and the other nights we enjoy cooking so we've gotten pretty picky. We're pretty much over giving places a great review based on the usual huge portions and hipster interior decorating. Now we want good food. Really, really good food. Not... More

Too noisy and would never return. My husband and I couldn't even hear each other! With all the great restaurants in this city, I've never experienced a noise issue before. It's quite noticeable.

Went with a friend with the intention of eating at the bar. It was a fairly easy evening crowd wise,so getting a bar seat was pretty easy ( lucky at 9 at nite). We shared a salad and a dish called the smokehouse with pork ribs baked beans drumsticks and flank steak...the menu said pulled pork and chill BBQ .... More

I'd been told to try Good Luck enough times that I finally gave it a shot this past weekend. The sign outside the restaurant is extremely small (as in the size of an index card), so if you don't know exactly where you're going be prepared to drive by it a few times. The building has been converted from some... More

We hosted a dinner for 9 people. The concept of sharing plates of food was excellent for the goals of the dinner. Everyone enjoyed the food a great deal. Unfortunately the restaurant is so loud that carrying on a conversation across the table was difficult and turned off some of our guests. Solve the noise problem and this was a... More

We ate here Saturday night with friends. It's a good thing that we had a reservation because the place was packed. The atmosphere is fun; it's in a converted mill building with lots of brick. The hard interior surfaces make this place loud, but we were able to hear each other just fine. The "Food to Share" on the menu... More

Good Luck is a personal favorite and frequently visited. I love the rustic atmosphere and dim lighting. I have been there many times for my birthdays, nights out with friends and family, and for a bachelorette party. The food is delicious and the locally grown products and family style add to the experience. They have an extensive creative and unique... More

Stopped in at Happy Hour, had a great couple of cocktails off the special Rochester Cocktail Revival menu. Matt the bartender was very helpful in finding a drink I would enjoy. Had their happy hour special caramel popcorn with bacon, a delicious combination.

Although we only stopped in for a drink we were disappointed. Our cocktails were watery and they don't carry Stella Artois. It is a cool space and I have enjoyed meals there in the past but I am afraid their game may be slipping a bit. I hope not. I plan to give them another chance.
