Awesome meal and service!

Came here for the first time with the family and was blown away by the food and service. Our server Michelle was the best one we've had in a long time. Very informative and capable as far as servers go. The food was delicious and we'll prepared. I suggest going early....well first calling for... read more

Based on a friends recommendation we had dinner at Rocco. This was a weeknight and it seems this is one tough place to score a table at - luckily there were two seats available at the bar. Chris was where my friend preferred to enjoy dinner, so it worked out perfect. We started with drinks, I ordered the blood orange... More

First time at Rocco's, having lunch. Packed house. Great Caesar salad, great tomato basil soup and great pizza. SO disappointed after all the excellent reviews as this being the BEST Italian restaurant in Rochester. Not so. The room and tables are so tiny that a table with more than 2 peopl would not even be able to move. The neighborhood... More

The server brought our pizza and nearly threw it on the table wi a grunt - awful service. He did not bring plates or anything to serve it on. The pizza was not charred on the underside but burnt black. When I summoned the waitress she argued with us that that is how they are served. She took it away... More

The dining room is dark (difficult to read the menu ) and very noisy; staff is indifferent - from greeter to waitress to server. Inconsistent quality in menu items: dinner for 3; pork chop-excellent; seafood ragu-overcooked pasta & dried out ragu; gnocchi-overheated/charred. This is my 2nd time( and last) there with same conclusions. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

Rocco was my favorite restaurant in Rochester until recently. I talked it up every time I had the chance. However, my last two experiences have been disappointing to the extent that I simply will not never go there again. The first experience was a problem with an arrogant server but last night was the worst dining experience of my life.... More

We had been meaning to eat here for years but it always slipped under our radar. You definitely need a reservation and you need to do so more than a few days before. The small nicely decorated and lit dining room is warm and inviting. The service was efficient though not that friendly. As others have mentioned the octopus appetizer... More

We've been here twice our meals were superb. The menu offers some creative options, including the arancini (fried risotto fritters) appetizer which was amazing (and which I will look forward to having again). Last time, I had the gnocchi, deliciously seasoned and prepared in a manner I hadn't seen before. My wife had duck and fried polenta, both were excellent.... More

This is our 5th visit here and it is still fabulous. But....weekends are a mess. We went on a Saturday night. There is no waiting area, it is noisy, but the food is still fantastic. The pasta special was great, the salmon special was fabulous and the slow cooked pork with great rapini and the best polenta ever is still... More

I just finished an absolutely awesome dinner at Rocco's! The grilled octopus is to die for. The swordfish with the fava beans was unlike anything I've had before. OMG-the steak with the deep fried cauliflower was delicious! You need to try the selection of wine here. The owner, Mark Cupulo, sources wine by region- all Italian. You will find exceptional...
