All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 2. Grab a seat at one of the communal tables and hoist a glass of imported German beer. It's impossible to go away hungry! There's also live German music on the last Thursday and Friday of each month. Wan can also cater events of any size, with anything from cold-cut trays to a full pig roast.

We go to Swan's off and on when we have an insatiable urge for some hearty fare- usually fall through spring. The roulade, the sauerkraut, the sauerbraten, the pinkelwurst, all the wursts...the potato salads, the red cabbage. You literally CANNOT go wrong at Swan's.

Excellent food for memorable lunches. Casual atmosphere with long tables where you might find yourself seated with strangers . . . but everyone is happy and you won't feel awkward about it. Butcher counter for take-away, and grocery specialty items you can't get many other places these days.

Whether you want to get deli counter to go or a sit down lunch with your friends and friends you haven't met yet (communal seating); count on Swan Market for the best German meats, sausages and sides. The beer is authentic too.

This is the go to place for German food in the Rochester area. They serve food not only at their restaurant but also at German festivals. You can get authentic German food at a price that is very reasonable.

This is a real authentic German deli and luncheon place. It is the anchor to a struggling neighborhood so keep supporting it. You are likely to sit down at picnic style benches and be surrounded by a retired musician who has just returned from visiting Germany, a couple of UR students out to see the city, and a couple of... Only open for lunch 11am till 2pm. Communal seating and small. Fast friendly service with outstanding and reasonably priced food. I tried the sampler plate because I couldn't decide what to get. You get all the meats served that day, I think about 6 items and all 4 sides, including sauerkraut, red cabbage, noodles and germen potatoe salad. The next... More

Have wanted to try ever since I heard about it online. Very reasonably priced, and personable staff. Try the sampler plate. You can't go wrong, and I had enough for lunch tomorrow. Note limited hours. Don't miss this place. Thank you Erda from Jim.
