All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 2. Grab a seat at one of the communal tables and hoist a glass of imported German beer. It's impossible to go away hungry! There's also live German music on the last Thursday and Friday of each month. Wan can also cater events of any size, with anything from cold-cut trays to a full pig roast.

Happiest place on earth

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. It is a great place to have lunch and order some food to take home. They do catering as well so they are a must for any up coming events you have.

Have wanted to try ever since I heard about it online. Very reasonably priced, and personable staff. Try the sampler plate. You can't go wrong, and I had enough for lunch tomorrow. Note limited hours. Don't miss this place. Thank you Erda from Jim.

My sister and brother in law took us here this past weekend and it was a treat. I was skeptical about having to show up early and get a seat but glad we did and the food and great beer worked well. The surrounding neighborhood wasn't the best but don't let that stop you from going

This is a great restaurant and it is also a deli/meat market, ethnic grocery store, neighborhood lunch spot. Their home made sausages are excellent. Get a sausage plate with German potato salad, noodles, or red cabbage. Pork roast and various schnitzels are good too. Draft beer by the pitcher, homemade liverwurst, rye bread - it's all great. Get some sausages,... More

This place has some of the best German food in Rochester. The Sausage and Schitzel are my favorites and I enjoy taking family and friends here for a "different" lunch. It is not in the best neighborhood but I have had an issue. Giveit a try and I bet you bring someone new to show off this hidden gem.

The Swan family has truly brought great German food to the U.S., in our fair city of Rochester, NY. In the heart of my Grandparents' old neighborhood, you can get pretty much anything to make you feel at home in Deutschland. Thanks for the many years of food/service to keep this immigrant city vibrant with tradition.

All things German can be found in SWAN Market. It is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth short trip and you will find authentic German foods, spices beers, and a great friendly atmosphere. It is also a restaurant so if you're inclined to have lunch, stop in.

A very peculiar setup with excellent german meats in a large cooler, picnic tables in front of that and beer taps behind the cooler. Can have a great lunch and a beer, buy some sausages, bacon, potato salad or other treats to take home and enjoy the ambiance of this friendly joint. Swans has been in the City a long... More
