Love this place.Excellent food,to eat in or take out.Call ahead to order large quantities of anything during the busy times of the year(Christmas,Easter etc.)or the butcher/owner can get cranky.just adds to the ambiance,LOL!

Visited this store/restaurant on a friends opinion. Was pleasantly surprised by the bratwurst lunch of 2 large links, warm German potato salad and sauerkraut. Few tables and they are bench type tables with chairs. The total bill with drink was under $7. Just need to get there before the lunch crowd as it is a popular spot. Don't let the... More

Every time I go here it is on a saturday around noon. Swans is a German deli that has been in operation for over 80 years. Thosa familiar with Rochesters history know that this used to be a mainly German neighborhood. Although time has had negative effects on this community and the neighborhood is not a place to wander around... More

I stopped at Swan’s for lunch with a colleague – all I can say is . . . wow. It is located in the city, I’d call it NE Quadrant, if you’re a burb’ite, it might be an eye opener, but it is a safe neighborhood, just park on the street and walk on in. They have community tables, so... More

This is my second trip to Rochester and I was at Swan’s Market for Lunch, the place is not very big, so when you get a Table Oktoberfest Style you feel like you’re in Germany, the service is quick, don’t expect anything fancy it is German style simple and good. The Food is excellent and made fresh right there. Save... More

I was asked by a family member to stop by Swan's to pick up a special order of custom blended sausages. We found ourselves in the part of the city that would never attract a lunch crowd. But just show up on a Friday at lunch time (and come early if you want a seat) You'll have the time and... More

Amazing meats....fresh bratwurst is the best you can find. Also a great lunch spot. I recommend the Jeager Schnitzel.

I'm stiff baffled as to howIi never found the Swan Market in all my years in Rochester. The location is probably why, it's in the city, in a former Polish/German neighborhood. The store/ restaurant is quaint and cozy. You will most likely share a table, just like true Germans do. They're open only for lunch, with a small but delicious... More

This restaurant is in a pretty tough neighborhood and is not that easy to find, but it is well worth the trip. Walking in, the tables set up family style and you feel like you are in a deli. But the atmosphere is cozy and family like. The waitresses are always friendly. The food is awesome. Hearty, traditional Central European... More
