Tap and Mallet, Rochester, NY

There were several of us. It was a nice place to go and eat. The food was wonderful. It was busy, but we had good service. Nice view from our table.

Large selection of beer. Decent food. Friendly atmosphere. Bit overpriced. Service was OK. Tuesday was pub trivia night which is fun if you are playing but a little disruptive to conversations if you are not

While visiting Rochester, stopped in with friends for a quick lunch. Great beer selection is the highlight. Food order was slow overall, luckily we were not in a rush, if you are, be aware. Food was ok, nothing that stuck out.

The beer selection was very extensive and there was nothing wrong, but we didn't think that the food was above average. With all the great options out there we probably won't go back unless it is just for the bar.

This pub with grille has an incredible selection of microbrews. I tried the Wailing Wench by Middle Ages Brewing. This beer was great. I normally like strong beers that are not bitter. (heineken) This was slightly bitter, but packed a punch. This was served in a Brandy snifter type glass. Small, but packed a buzz after one drink.. Fish and... More

We love Tap and Mallet. Great Beers, a Creative and delish menu. We bring our teens with us and they're happy, we have a great meal and enjoy a few great beers - well, the other half does, I usually have to drive.

If I lived closer this would be my neighborhood go to. I love the beer selection and like even more that all staff can answer my questions, particularly about stouts which I love. As a vegetarian I also appreciate the unique flavorful dishes available ~ try the CLT. Fried pickles are crunchy but the portion is for sharing

Plenty of places advertise hundreds of beers. It takes guts to compete as a beer lover's tavern while limiting selection to a few dozen brews. Tap & Mallet carefully chooses all kinds of beers, ales, porters, ciders and other varieties -- including rare finds. Prices are reasonable. Service is great. Location in Rochester's South Wedge is nice and edgy. Food... More
