As we live in the area, we were returning patrons last Saturday night. Our reservation request for the back room was not honored, and the host was snide when I asked about this. We reluctantly sat in another room and during the course of the meal, he told us he had a large party coming in and needed our table.... More

I work in the area and pick up lunch here almost every other week. The menu changes every day and I have never had a meal I didn't enjoy. From the salads to the sandwiches - everything is amazing. It is BYOB and the outdoor seating is great right on the water. The service is always amazing and I always... More

If you blink you will miss this place. It's kind of hidden, but it's a nice gem. It overlooks a pretty lake. We sat upstairs and you could still see out. The artichoke appetizer was delicious, get it! Then I had the lobster cakes with a salad. I though the lobster cakes were just ok. I feel like it could... More

This place is difficult to find. It has a small blackboard sign on the ground with chalk that is only visible in one direction. But this difficuty is forgotten quickly as you are seated to a serene natural scenery of the Peconic River. The staff is friendly and the menu is loaded with high quality locally grown produce. The salads... More

stopped in with friends who knew the place, thank goodness because its not easy to spot from the street. What a small excellent little restaurant. Everything sounded delicious and did not disappoint for one second. The salads, pastas, and filet mignon were fabulous, as was the array of desserts. Such a little cozy find with a great view of ducks... More

I called this restuarant and asked if it was busy and if I needed a reservation. The gentleman that answered replied no we're not busy! Arrived 20 minutes later and was told there was no space and we should've made a reservation by three obnoxious hostesses. There were numerous visible empty tables. The nasty immature hosted stated "Why don't you... More

If you don't have 3 hours for lunch, don't go to this place! We were a table of 4 on a recent Tuesday. No one had drinks, no appetizers were ordered. We had a long wait at each step -getting the table, -ordering, - food arrival, - asking for check, -paying check. It bordered on the ridiculous. Yes, the food... More

We were in Riverhead visiting the Railroad Museum of Long Island and Tanger Outlets and fortunate to have had lunch at Farm Country Kitchen. From the road you only see a garage, but walking down a path leads to the restaurant which is in an older house. You enter through a small dining room which leads to an outdoor patio... More

This is indeed a charming location and setting, but our collective experience wasn't terrific. First, there appear to be only about 3-4 tables inside in a room that is not comfortablel, so obviously everyone wants to eat on the deck overlooking the river. This is really their principal seating and fairly small. So we (and most others) had a longish... More

The Farm Country Kitchen is hidden in an older house on West Main Street situated along the Peconic River (known for kayaking). From the street side, it is not much to look at and to get from their small parking area to the restaurant itself, you have to walk over very uneven paths to enter a small inside dining room....
