We had a small dinner the other night at the Rhinecliff. In the main dining room, which is about the nicest place in six states to enjoy a meal. The chicken was perfect, the burger was the best I've had in a long time, and the service was outstanding. We felt like family. I would recommend the Rhinecliff to anyone... More

Dear John, Thank you for your kind words! We've been trying very hard to ensure our service is great this year and we've put in a lot of work on our menus, so on behalf of all the team here thank you for coming down and enjoying yourself! James More

Three friends and I visited The Rhinecliff Restaurant the first Sunday in June; there were only four other guests there when we arrived. We were half-heartedly greeted by a waitress who took our drink and appetizer order as if she were doing us a favor. After a half hour of waiting for our appetizer in the comfortable chairs outside, we... More

We attended a dinner event at the Rhinecliff, which we enjoyed, but probably the best part of the evening was the amazing view of the river. The food was OK, nothing special, though the desserts were very tasty. Service was good, but not exceptional.

Dear Jeremy, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback which we truly do appreciate. Thankfully our river views are stunning, regardless of our occasional human inadequacies...hallelujah for that! We try very hard for our food to be great, often it is, but as is the challenging and fickle world or restaurants, sometimes perhaps, not so much... More

Took the train from Hudson to the Rhinecliff Hotel. Had the Sunday brunch sitting on the patio. The food was well prepared, service excellent. It was a very pleasant experience with a jazz duet performance included.

Thank you so much for your kind words Stella, and congratulations, jumping on the train for that beautiful ride along the river is always the best way to do it! Thank you again, we work hard to make our Sunday Jazz Brunch a fun time and so we're really happy you enjoyed it, thank you again! James More

We visited the Rhinecliff yesterday for Easter Brunch. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but were rather disorganized. We were unfortunately sat at a small low table directly in front of the speakers for the jazz musicians and with very little view of the water. I asked that we be moved but was told it was rather impossible (wedding... More

Dear L, Thank you so much for taking the time to report on your experience at our Easter brunch. We continually strive very hard to give our guests a truly super time, so of course feedback like this can be a little painful, but nonetheless is much needed and gratefully accepted, so thank you again. We had brunch at the Rhinecliff this week. It was outstanding. The service was very good, and the room is one of the most beautiful in the Hudson Valley. I'd come back here anytime.

John thank you so much for your kind words, my Goodness, we didn't even pay you!!! No but seriously, we've put a lot of effort in to making our Sunday Jazz Brunch a fine thing. Had my bridal shower at the rhinecliff in December of 2013. The space was beautiful and the food was great. More than I could have asked for. Our only complaint was Nicole. Leading up to the shower she would take weeks to respond to emails and phone calls. And then when she would respond it was never with the correct... More

I'm so happy you enjoyed the shower! I was present on the day and remember looking in and it certainly seemed everyone was having a fine old time, so bravo! I must confess, your comments on Nicole are a little puzzling, we discussed everything to do with the shower's organization and Nicole had a very steady e-mail exchange with Mom... More

We met family for brunch at this historic hotel set right on the Hudson River in Rhinecliff, NY. It offered a diverse brunch / lunch menu with delicious food. This review is the worst I've ever written. I have never been treated so horribly in my entire life! My partner and I have been coming here for over a year by boat, and have enjoyed the location.
