one of the best bakeries I have ever encountered, of European quality. I live in Rhinebeck and live off their food. breakfasts and lunches (last sampled in February 2014) are generally quite good, though not as good as the baked goods from breads to pastries and some mean granola

We have been eating here for a long time and think they do a great job at anything they prepare. I strongly reccomend this place for a visit for any time of the day. Always fresh and always delicious, what more can you ask for?

Very busy breakfast spot in Rhinebeck . Had a 15 minute wait to be seated , so ordered a coffee from the from the counter and waited ... not a problem. Food was prepared well and enjoyed this sort of start to the day...great coffee too.

This busy place in the middle of Rhinebeck is a great local spot for a coffee and maybe a cake. The range of breads looks fantastic. Service is fast and friendly, and I can vouch for the expresso. Certainly a place to drop by if you are around and about.

If you go into Bread Alone on a Saturday or Sunday, you will be lucky if you can find a seat at one of the self serve tables in the front room or at the counter. In fact the full serve room in the back might also be full. It's worth the wait for a table though. In the spring,... More

We ate a delicious breakfast at Bread Alone during a visit to Rhinebeck. The service was fast and friendly and the breakfast menu had a lot of great choices. The buttermilk pancakes were gigantic and very tasty.

Had great coffee here, but the breads and sandwiches looked really good. The place was really busy and I could see why. They are doing all the right things here.

So glad we found this restaurant in Rhinebeck and right downtown. After working for three days at the NY State Sheep and Wool Festival, we were ready for a nice, quiet, sit down breakfast. Between the three of us, we tried 3 different selections for breakfast. The brioche French toast was wonderful, the pumpkin pancakes were a real treat and... More

We actually ate here twice, on consecutive days on the weekend of the giant NYS Shhep and Wool Festival. It was crowded and busy both days, but the food (and coffee!!) was great. My first day's brioche french toast was pretty good, but a little dry, but my second day pumpkin pancakes, my husband's Hudson River Breakfast and Egg Sandwich,... More
