We had a wonderful meal at the Tavern at Beekman Arms. The butternut squash soup was the best I have ever had, the pear salad was tasty, and our entrees of filet mignon and stuffed shrimp were tasty and cooked to perfection. Colin was our waiter and was attentive to detail, friendly, and knowledgable of the full menu and the... More

I wrote a review for "The Beekman Arms and Delamater Inn", which is the same place. "The Tavern at the Beekman Arms" is the restaurant part of the inn. I copied the restaurant portion of my inn review, since the restaurant is listed separately from the rest of the inn: The restaurant has some cool dining areas, very diverse in... More

Beekman Arms is a "must" stop for a meal. The history alone is reason enough to be curious. The food portions are large, fresh and delicious. Great choices. The service is attentive and courteous. Regardless of weather we eat in the glass covered front of the building that is spacious and airy. The interior seating is a bit dark and... More

America's Oldest Inn...where the likes of Washington, etc. met to direct the strategy for America's Freedom from British tyranny. Did not fail on the food and service...being "old" does not have to mean "tired food"!

Had Sunday brunch with the wife and a couple that drove up from Ct. The place is awesome in terms of atmosphere since it is the oldest inn in America still in operation and they have kept it pretty much intact since it was built in the seventeen hundreds. The staff is very plaesant and professional. The food is always... More

Spent last weekend visiting mansions in the Hudson Valley. On Sunday evening we stopped at The Tavern at the Beekman Arms for dinner. I had the shrimp with lemon oil, shallots, and baby arugula. Absolutely scrumptious. Two in our party had the prime rib and pronounced it excellent, and the remaining diner had a pork chop special which he said... More

We had the opportunity to visit the Tavern for dinner after along day at the Dutchess County Fair. Arriving at the Tavern, the first thing you notice is that the heavy handmade front door does not have a lock. It turns out that they never close so they don't need one. We arrived without reservations, but were seated promptly. We... More

My wife and I enjoyed steak dinners. Her bone-in sirloin was tasty, as was my filet. Service was fine, but a bit slow, given that we had informed the staff that we had an event to attend. Overall, I would recommend the Beekman Arms for dinner.

What a GREAT place!!! Here is the oldest Inn in America right there in Rhinebeck, NY. We visited the Inn the night before and saw how warmly we were greeted for just a look see. So..after a long day at Rockefeller Estate, we drove back there for dinner. Again what a warm welcome...and a fabulous dinner. Do not miss the... More
