This bar is so full of history, and I'm a huge nerd for that, so I loved it. We grabbed ourselves a glass of wine (me) and a scotch (him) and wandered around the various rooms looking at all the great artifacts on the walls. Then we settled into some cozy chairs in front of the fireplace to chat. It... More

Loved this old tavern--great food and service. Inside very old like Williamsburg taverns. Reported to be the US's oldest Inn.

Looked so quaint and beautiful on the outside, combined with a sign that claims it's the oldest tavern made it seem like a good choice. We were seated right away which was a good thing but the fact that it wasn't so busy should have been a flag. the hostess comes over tosses the menus on the table and walks... More

While I have had good meals at this restaurant, this time my meal was poor. My wife's meal was fine. We ate outside and the service was not stellar.

The "Oldest Inn in America". This restaurant was highly recommended by friends. Scenic and historic inside. We went for lunch. Service was just ok-waitress forgot to tell us specials, took a very long time to bring food. When our bill arrived it included a glass of wine we did not drink-some excuse about someone else added that to our bill.... More

Always enjoy an outing to the Beekman Arms. The step back in time is brought forward by a friendly staff and congenital clientele, with a healthy serving of good food.

Consistently delicious lunches with excellent service. Squash soup is amazing. I dare you to finish the turkey bacon club. The burgers are juicy and delicious. Good house wine. Very reasonable prices. Can dine in glass sunroom or more pub like dining room. Reception area has fireplace, newspapers and very comfortable chairs. Have fallen asleep in the chair more than once... My husband, friends, and I had the Early Bird Special. Two of us had the Prime Rib and two of us had the Surf and Turf. We all enjoyed the beef dishes very much. The only complaint was that the stuffed shrimp was very mushy. We sat in what looked like a greenhouse. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff... More

Service was slow on weekday for lunch ! Food was tasty but could they spare it ???? My husband and I had the Curry chicken salad on Marble Rye.There was more bread to this than chicken salad. What would it cost the tavern for another icecream scoop of chicken salad 50 cents ?????. I'm not going back.....

Have been here for lunch several times. Never seems to be busy during the week. The selection is good and the food has always been hot and well-prepared. Always have eaten in the tavern room that has a lovely, colonial atmosphere. Service has always been friendly and efficient. Nice, quiet place to have a relaxed lunch in an attractive setting.
