Tapas

This restaurant is situated in what was a Baptist Church. The thing I liked most about it was the selection of tapas. Nice wine selection too. Service was adequate.

We ate at the bistro where we enjoyed a flight of local beers, tapas, and very fresh unique food such as the watermelon/heirloom gazpacho and the grilled duck quesadilla. For dessert, we had a grilled pineapple split over coconut ice cream and topped with macadamia nut brittle. Delicious from beginning to end.

We enjoyed a late afternoon lunch at Terrapin, dining al fresco, with what appeared to be quite a few locals. While there is quite a bit on the menu, the choices are good ones as they cater to the picky, health-conscious diners and the good, old-fashioned carnivores. The food was fresh and delicious.

To begin with, the menu is way overcomplicated. Just ordering a burger, which I did, offered so many options it was more like buying a car than a sandwich. My girlfriend ordered a "build your own" sandwich which was simply a BLT on sourdough. I'll start with her's. The bread was supposed to toasted - it wasn't. The filling was... More

This restaurant came highly recommended and we went for the 4th of July. We asked for a 7:00p reservation and were told we could not have a reservation until 7:45p. Circumstances had us there at 7:15 and we were promptly seated against a back wall where one person had to stare at a curtain. I suggested moving the seat and... More

Situated in an old church, Terrapin delivers a quality food experience. The restaurant is airy and light-filled (maybe a 'light from above'). There's also ample outside seating. Food was tasty. I had the sausage and broccoli rabe in a light cream sauce. Great wine list, with lots of half bottle options, which allows a table to sample a couple of... More

The food is uniquely prepared and even familiar favorites like a braised beef are prepared so well that comfort food soars to a new level. Be prepared for a pocket book emptying though. This superior level of service and food is not inexpensive.

enjoyed a lovely dinner here last night with friends from out of town. The menu choices were expansive and out choices were delicious. Local produce, wines and cheese were well represented. It was a slow night but the service was less attentive than it should have been.that said I do recommend it. The menu and ambiance make it a good... More

The food here is some of my favorites. Have dined in the restaurant once, a decade ago--the food brought comfort and pleasure when I was spending the time with a not so nice dinner companion, and the attentive waiter did his best to cheer me up. More recently, I have enjoyed the bistro. A great gnocchi dish and a duck... More

My husband and I spent a couple of days around the Poughkeepsie area to visit Hyde Park and the Culinary Institute of America. We ventured to the town of Rhinebeck for dinner. Because very few restaurants are open on Monday in this adorable village, we were left with few choices. After some research and a suggestion from a local, we... More
