On the main road in downtown Rhinebeck, excellent food with interesting options, good wine. Would love to eat there again if came back. Lots of neat shops and people watching in the street this is located on (plus other restaurants).

Can't say enough good thing about this place. The staff pays attention to details and good service. Love the menu and the entrees are great. Cool ambience. Loved the braised fall entrees.

We all ordered the double cut pork chops. WOW...they are HUGE and delicious. The presentation of the food was excellent. The decor is lovely, lots of wood on the ceiling. The only bad part was that the service was not attentive and it was very slow. The waitstaff would walk by constantly, but would not make eye contact, and would... More

This is surely a restaurant for a special treat, but well worth it. So lucky to have it right across from our hotel (Delamater Inn). The food was fancy, unusual and delicious. It is in a historical building and was decorated in a warm inviting style. It felt like old time dining in a long gone era....loved it!

We ate at Terrapin during our first visit to Rhinebeck. The menu featured a variety of choices that looked like covered all tastes. The selection of cocktails and wine was very appealing and a complement to the meal. Our server, Patrick was very attentive and made the visit to Terrapin a nice experience.

Took the bride to dinner for our anniversary. We received the royal treatment at the door ( 27 years) and I appreciated the attention. The treatment at tableside was impeccable. I had the 18oz T-bone and the bride had the Red Snapper. I noticed that the prices were on the high side, but I wanted a steak. The T-bone was... More

My wife and I visited Rheinbeck and had dinner at the Terrapin. The food was great, one of the best around. We have been here before and will make it a point to eat at least one meal here every time we come up this way. Not to be missed if you are in the area. Great wine list too... More

A trendy little place amidst the history and quaint shops. Nice bar area. It was rather abuzz for a Wednesday night, too. Seems to be a favorite among the locals who came and went throughout the evening. Mixed clientele. Good liquor and beer selections. I ate dinner in the restaurant. I had the tempura calamari. Excellent. I also had the... More
