Wife and I antiqued in area in the fall and family returned this Spring. Both times food was consistently good with great service. This last visit, the waiter suggested a London broil sandwich which was excellent. Daughter really enjoyed the fried clams. Casual dining with great comfort food and especially good cold beer. Enjoy

We visited Foster's Coach House after a long day of hiking in the Rhinebeck area. Being a bit muddy and sweaty, we wanted to eat at a place that had a casual environment. After checking out a few of the moral formal dining options in downtown Rhinebeck, we decided to try Foster's for dinner. The interior is classic pub with... More

When I get about 1 hour from Rhinebeck all I can see in front of my car is Fosters bar. This place is more than about food & drinks, although we enjoy both, its about the atmosphere, staff & patrons. After a 6 to7 hr drive from Canada its great to walk in and be greated by the staff like we were there yesterday,this... Fosters has been around forever and is showing it's age. Good for a cold beer, but for food... no thanks.

While on a visit, after 28 years, to Poughkeepsie, NY, my wife and I met my best friend and his girlfriend at Foster's for drinks and diner. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly and courteous, the food was outstanding. had a Filet Mignon and I could cut it with the fork, no knife required. Having been raised... More

We absolutely loved Foster's!!! Our server was excellent and the food was incredible!! The pulled pork--- forget about it! It was perfect!! The fries were very very good also! The lights seemed to be a little dark for lunch but at the same time it created a relaxed environment :)

Stopped here on way back from Albany. Service was prompt and cordial, but we were not told if there were any specials. Only ordered appetizers, which were mostly good. Shrimp cocktail was overcooked and tasted rubbery, while the herb and cheese fries were delicious and crispy. Noodle soup looked and tasted as if it had been poured from a can;... More

This is not the Foster's Coach House of long ago. I remember eating there as a kid and enjoying it...... was very disappointed in this place. The food is not up to par. I would not go back.

We visited Foster's on a weekend afternoon, the outside patio was very nice. Our appetizer was garlic bread w/ tomato sauce (for dipping) was very good. My wife and I ordered bacon cheeseburgers that had zero taste or flavor and were giant dry bricks. My cheeseburger had fried onions that saturated the bottom bun and as soon as I bit... More

After the busy wine tasting festival, five of us were seated outside and how wonderful it was. After learning the extablishment boasts the finest London broil, I didn't hesitate to order the London broil sandwich. Two others, London broil entree and other two hamburger and salmon fillet. We received everything we ordered in quick time and everything was just right,... More
