A Rhinebeck Favorite

I have eaten here many many many times. With children, with large groups, small groups and many times at the bar. Reasonable prices, consistent food every time and usually great service. I highly recommend for families with children and older parents. Parking is easy, right in the center of town... read more

We ate outside - the weather in July was beautiful - fortunately no humidity - the service was excellent and enjoyed everything about our visit. The food was very good - great portions for lunch and delicious! Very reasonably priced! Everyone was extremely satisfied in our party! Definitely will be visiting again!

Known for their London broil. We had it on sandwich for dinner and there was plenty of meat. Waiter even suggested sharing it. Many locals there on Sunday at 6

Foster is a Rhinebeck staple. Old school with some new great additions like outside seating and a huge tv screen in the bar area. The food is great, portions are substantial and the service is good. A huge favorite is The London Broil sandwich. The salads are all good and the shrimp cocktail just may be the best you've ever... More

Foster's is an anomaly in tony Rhinebeck where expensive food catered to the rich and semi-rich is the norm. Here you will find a delicious Rueben, shrimp parmagiana sandwich, decent burgers and other regular lunch fare for less than $10. They also other a balanced menu of traditional American dinner dishes. The decor has not changed in thirty years, but... More

Every time I'm in the area, I come here. I'm mildly obsessed with horses and the horse/racing theme throughout makes me love it even more. The food is always wonderful and the atmosphere (inside or outside) is welcoming and comfortable. It's also in a great tourist location with a bunch of shops. Do recommend.

I was exploring Rhinebeck after my trip to the Rhinebeck Aerodome, when my boyfriend and I spotted this restaurant and stopped in for a lunch. We sat outside and ordered sandwiches, a beer, and a margarita. The waitstaff was wonderful, the food and the drinks were great. The margarita was delicious, the only thing missing was kosher salt on the... More

I was first introduced to Foster's Coach House by my parents about 40 years ago at approximately age 10 (we lived just across the Hudson from this landmark restaurant). When I was able to drive in my teens, I used this venue as a nice affordable choice for dates. Eventually, work and relocation took me elsewhere and I had few... More

I have been going to Fosters since I was a child. It is located in a restored Coach station so, if you like you can eat in an old horse stall. I went the other day and although they don't serve free popcorn any longer (a big draw for me in my childhood) The food is still very good and... More

Fried clams and veal parmigiana were first-rate. Pleasant service. Great old place. Lots of local color.
