Terrific

The ambiance was a definite coach house. Excellent menu- visited for lunch and reasonable. Food was very good- could not have been better. Could find no negative. A must stop if visiting/touring the area.

Have a burger or a steak in a former stable. We have been dining at Foster's for years and still enjoy the food. The French Dip is terrific! The roast beef is so tender and the bread crunchy.

Once one of the few restaurants in town, Fosters has survived the influx of dozens of new eating places in Rhinebeck by serving good food at good prices. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and homey, Fosters is perfect for families and groups. The food is 'American'-- good burgers, London Broil, steaks, sandwiches, with some fish and Italian items. Lots of Rhinebeck... More

There is only one dish to eat at Fosters.. The London broil sandwich. I have tried a few other things and didn't like them. BUT when I'm in the mood, this sandwich hits the spot! This is basically a place for old timers in Rhinebeck and tourists in the summer with the outdoor patio. Not expensive but there are many... More

I enjoy Fosters for their London Broil Sandwich. It is cooked to perfection and is delicious. I love the small town and Fosters fits right in.

We had the pastrami sandwiches because we were assured they were lean and tasty and they were. The rye bread was fresh and added tot he tasty sandwiches. They weren't as thick as one might expect, but the price was right.

Had an enjoyable late lunch here. It was highly recommended by a good friend from the area -- old tavern decor and ambiance -- good draft beer and tasty food at affordable prices. We started with their soup du jour, a hearty, homemade white bean and sausage that was really good. We both ordered their lasagna, after being assured that... More

We have eaten at this restaurant twice now when traveling up the Hudson River Valley. Rhinebeck is a cute town but the Chicken Soup (different type each time) at Foster's Coach House is what brings us back. The food is good as are the prices but the soup is worth the trip!

Fosters was on the way home from Hyde Park. It looked interesting so we stopped in. The dinning room was warm and the wait staff happy. We had two dinners with only water to drink. Our final bill was $ 32.00 A really good dinner for not much cash. What else could you ask for. By the way the town... More

Was visiting my family in upstate New York and decided to take a walk around Rhinebeck. Noticed Foster's Coach House and its outside dining area and since it was a beautiful day, we decided to try it. The owner assembled two tables together for us so we could eat alfresco. Even though there was a wedding party of about 20... More
