Surprisingly good for a college town spot. We ordered several things off of the menu and all were very good. Service was great, and we will be going back.

Food was very good, but pricey. We had a gift card. We knew the wait staff. We had been to a private party there prior to our dinner.

The Flatiron in Red Hook is one of our favorite restaurants and we eat there frequently. Craig is a terrific chef and he and his wife Jessica and staff are delightful and very skilled and well informed. We have certain favorites like their wonderful raw oysters and charcuterie plates but also really enjoy trying new things as they always have... More

My title says it. From the moment they opened we have frequented the Flatiron. Amazing food. Wonderful service. Craig, Jess and the staff are always welcoming. It is our favorite place to go. We look for excuses to take ourselves out to dinner there. The acoustics are not good if you are hard of hearing. But the flavors make up... More

Our !st visit was for the annual Game and Beer Dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, each course was explained by the Staff and the beer paired with it was explained by the invited brewmaster. The service was fantastic, each of the 5 courses was served quickly, so that no table felt like it was lagging behind the others. The... More

Great service, fresh local ingredients and a pleasant space. I have to agree with some of the previous reviews which state that the portion size is small and the price relatively high. We ordered two apps, one beer, one glass of house white wine, two entrees and no dessert and the tab with tip was $85. I've had better meals... More

Sad that this restaurant has excellent food and decent service but awful ambiance. The space is extremely noisy and lacks any privacy to be able to talk. The totally open space with BAR in the front as you enter and then the seats for restaurant is right next/behind this open bar lacks any wall or separation to diminish the rowdy... More

Visited last year, and wrote a review, but now have to say, while the food is really good; the portions are skimpy, and I mean miniscule - there was a lot of white space on the plate! At $65/pp inclusive, thought we shouldn't feel hungry when walking out the door; and felt that I got that 8oz filet rather than... More

The food here is quite good and the locally sourced stuff is great. It was good enough that when fair traffic prevented us from getting to Rhinebeck for dinner, we went back the next night and loved it.

I really am not too sure what happens to cause some reviewers to blast this place. We almost didn't go because of some of the reviews, but, in general, there were enough good reviews to warrant a visit while attending the Bard Music Festival nearby. We found this place to be just fine in every regard. Prices are not low,... More
