Recently I took my wife to Artist's Palate for our 30th wedding anniversary. I noted in the reservation request that it was our anniversary and that I would like a special, quite table and experience. When we arrived, in spite of my request we were just plunked in the middle of the restaurant. There was never any mention of our... More

Charles and the Artist's Palate team are absolutely awesome! He creatively collaborated with me on designing an unforgettable meal for a private event in a town close by. The food was beyond incredible, the service was top-notch professional, and everyone involved was friendly and fun. THANK YOU, ARTIST'S PALATE, for making my birthday so special.

My family and I have eaten here many times when we feel like treating ourselves to a somewhat pricey dinner of excellently prepared food. The menu items are inventive and tasty. The attention to detail is apparent. The ingredients are obviously fresh and high quality. Be aware that the menu is somewhat short and is changed periodically; a few times... More

This restaurant is located in the downtown area in what appears to be a tough neighborhood. What a surprise. The food is modern and very well thought out. The amuse bouche and sun dried tomato bread spread were pleasant surprises. I had the lobster mac and cheese and the fried tofu appetizers. I loved the fried tofu. The lobster mac... More

Perhaps the best restaurant in the area. Attention to detail, excellent service, perfectly prepared food. Amazing sun dried tomato pesto served with the bread (also amazing), A little pricey but worth every cent!!

Skip the drive to the Culinary in Hyde Park (our original plan, but they were closed in August). We had lunch for 3 friends this week. The interior was great with an original brick wall, tin ceiling and industrial steel lighting. We had 2 daily specials, cod with black rice & bok choy, and also the quiche of the day... More

We only spent 1 day/night in Poughkeepsie and came here for dinner. Nice ambiance, modern and quiet. The food was excellent. The four cheese onion soup was very cheesy and rich. Salad was crisp and perfectly dressed. Scallops fork tender. Well done.

We had a wonderful dinner at Artist's Palate this weekend, generous drinks, delicious food, well chosen wines, great service. The dining room was spacious and airy, the table and seating comfortable. Our server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic as she guided us through the menu. I would not miss the soft shell crabs, done perfectly and presented artfully with ample, fresh sides.... More

We have wanted to dine here for a long time. They opened on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend so we could finally were able to go. After wanting to go there for so long, my expectations were high. I would say I was satisfied but somewhat less awed than I expected to be. The service was excellent. The food... More
