A 70 seat American-Fusion Restaurant, the only one in the area using truly local ingredients and changes thier menu every two weeks based on the availability of products. Both the beer menu and wine list are extensive and reasonable. As well one of the only restaurants that say if we don't have we will do our best to get it for your reservation.

Great place in Poughkeepsie

My husband and I had dinner here last night and I found the food so delicious I decided to return today for lunch. For dinner I had the stripped bass - tender, fresh, well seasoned with a wonderfully crispy skin. My husband thought his NY sirloin steak was excellent. I tried grilled brussels... read more

Located on Main Street in Poughkeepsie, the food here is wonderful Provided the owner Meagan is in the kitchen. Our only disappointmemts was when she was not there. Open kitchen so don't sit too far in the rear. Drinks are small but the servings are fine, and the service is almist always good. Fish is always fresh and prepared beautifully.

Food delicious, service attentive. Great wine list. If your in the area don't miss this gem. Charlie? (owner) gave us a ride back to our hotel after car trouble. How's that for service!

The food was consistently excellent. The salad was fresh and delicious, the crabs crunch and hot, and the goat cheese polenta, though perhaps quite optional given the crabs came with lime-ginger slaw, was also delicious. I deferred to my waitress for wine selection, and enjoyed what she selected. The head chef (or I'm guessing that's her role) came by a... More

After a skimpy meal of seared scallops several years ago I vowed never to return to this restaurant which I considered to be a clip joint. But I am glad I gave it a second chance. We had the best fried soft shell crabs we ever had in our entire lives. They were 2 very large succulent crabs with two... More

Visiting Vassar and found this exceptional restaurant. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. Wonderful choices, executed very well. The atmosphere is enjoyable and creative. If in the area, be sure to make the Artist's Palate a dining choice.

Everything was great. Atmosphere was very nice. Everything from the drinks through dessert was excellent. All the dishes were properly cooked. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place. Price is high, but you get what you pay for. If I pay this much I expect every aspect of the evening to be perfect, and they delivered.
