We only spent 1 day/night in Poughkeepsie and came here for dinner. Nice ambiance, modern and quiet. The food was excellent. The four cheese onion soup was very cheesy and rich. Salad was crisp and perfectly dressed. Scallops fork tender. Well done.

We had a wonderful dinner at Artist's Palate this weekend, generous drinks, delicious food, well chosen wines, great service. The dining room was spacious and airy, the table and seating comfortable. Our server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic as she guided us through the menu. I would not miss the soft shell crabs, done perfectly and presented artfully with ample, fresh sides.... More

We have wanted to dine here for a long time. They opened on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend so we could finally were able to go. After wanting to go there for so long, my expectations were high. The atmosphere and the food are perfect at The Artist's Palate. These Culinary Inst of America-trained owners/chefs are what make the food so memorable and delightful. The waitstaff are well-informed and attentive without being too in your face; they don't rush you along. There is an extensive wine list and wonderful bar drinks. Also, phenomenal desserts, a great place to... More

The food was among the best we had in the Lower Hudson Valley area. (Hearty fish and meat and adorable little cocktails.) Only issue was that we parked a few blocks away and were afraid we would get murdered on the way back to our car! (So we took a taxi:))

This is an excellent dining choice - the owner/chef, Megan is quite skilled in her food preparation and presentation. My husband enjoyed the lamb chops and my salmon was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Four of us had a wonderful meal on a Saturday evening. Did not feel rushed. Restaurant was busy good noise level. All dishes; pork, lamb, steak and pasta all cooked perfectly, good sized portions. Beet salad was very good. Cesar salad was ok, large. Deserts very good. Would be back.

There were six of us in our party and we decided to have dinner at the Artist's Palate once again. From the time we entered the establishment until the time we left the quality of service and food was impeccable. Our waitress Melody was attentive and friendly and Megan, one of the restaurant owners, stopped by our table to greet... More

My daughter and I were visiting Vasser. She had an overnight so I was looking for a nice meal. And I was pleasantly surprised to find it on Main Street of Poughkeepsie. I eat all over the world in great restaurants traveling for business and this place was right up there. I really enjoyed the meal, friendliness of chief and... More
