Fantastic French Cuisine!

The food is generally good, but the noise and the seating make the experience uncomfortable. Great bar. Stay out of the side room.

As others have remarked, this is not in a great location, although during the daytime, it is fairly safe. Went to the Sunday brunch and their menu selection ranges from breakfast in the French tradition up to lunchtime standards. There was a side tartar and pastry selection so every need was addressed. That being said, there were several problems that... More

Ok, I'll be the first to admit the location is not great - downtown Poughkeepsie is blighted, but hopefully places like this will spark a long overdue revitalization. The restaurant is impeccable! Top notch service - very professional, well trained, disciplined, and personable. The food is outstanding - the onion soup was declared the best ever by one of us.... More

There were 9 in our party and they sat us in a side room, which was perfect. The décor is classic French café. Our server was Jacqueline and she was so accommodating. The food was excellent as were the libations.

Good, but I expected more. Perhaps the hype did not live up, or I went on an off day, but hype had surrounded and I feel like it just didn't meet expectations.

My meal began with an expertly crafted Sazerac cocktail and continued with six exquisite oysters from the raw bar. My main course was soft shell crab, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented atop a delicious polenta with asparagus and mushrooms. I finished with a lovely milk chocolate pot de creme. My server Sasha was attentive and friendly and I benefited from... More

My husband and I shared a lovely semicircular booth at Brasserie 292 last weekend. Every dish and every course was wonderful, from cocktails through dessert. Service was good and the atmosphere is pleasantly casual.

We visited this restaurant for lunch. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. Service was great. The food was nicely displayed but everything was very salty. If the chef cuts back on the salt the taste would improve greatly. I would not return.
