Awesome Birthday dinner

My son and friend took me here for a belated birthday dinner. I had the steak frites and both of them had the duck confit. The service was excellent and the food outstanding! Five of us were there for dinner on a Wednesday night, which was a little quiet. Service was great, I had the roasted cod, great dish, someone used imagination to come up with that one. My wife had the steak au poivre, she said hers was a bit salty. Great wine and beer selection. Located in a very nice old... More

Just had lunch at Brasserie 292 and it was great. It's very quiet at the lunch hour which made for a good place for a lunch meeting. The steak and frites were delicious. The Bearnaise not that great though, but the steak didn't need it. I like my food salty, and it is salty so if you don't like it... More

Food is excellent. Sunday brunch has dollar oysters if you get there in time. Good jazz, too, but quite hard to hear the group. Downtown seems a bit dicey at night, so we prefer the brunches. And they have GREAT fries! Bar steak is always a good choice.

You have to try this place, just to see the inside of the old building. It is beautiful. The food is OK, not great, but, the ambiance of the place makes up for it. I feel like I'm in the city, in a small place when I'm there.

Excellent for Sunday brunch. A wide variety of dishes, some big enough to share, e.g., Eggs Benedict, Roasted Beet Salad. Soft live Jazz enhances the experience in this very French looking restaurant.

Food: - is pretty good with "farm to table" concept. First, I thought it is more like advertisement as I hadsome mediocre meals in so called, organic, homegrown place like Fairmont Dallas previous reviewed. But this place offer good quality food. - Here, pomme frite is the star (and you will see it will come with many entrees you are... More

the service is excellent, the place is nice, and their oysters were good, but my bouillabaisse was quite bad and the fish my buddy had was hardly edible... The first wine I chose was not in stock and this is also something that should not happen.

From the minute we walked in until we left the entir staff was attentive and professional. Everything was done "right" even by the teenage bus boy. It shows proper management and training. We had a salad with smokes bacon, escargot, and oysters to start. All fantastic. The mains were a duck, beef, and sausage special for her and the steak... More

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and every visit is always a wonderful experience. I am very picky when it comes to dining out and I don't like to waste my money on crappy so-so food, which is why I find Brasserie 292 to be a constant good choice. I was surprised to read a review below which... More
