My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at this place and we were not disappointed. The food was very good and the service was great. The staff were very attentive and our server Kayleigh was really charming.

Have been there 3 times now and have never been disappointed. The ambiance, decor and service are are surpassed only by the quality of the food being served. They seem to have captured the look of a cafe in Paris of years gone by. Our servers have always been knowledgeable about everything including the whiskeys, wines, ingredients and preparation of... This was a real find a typical French bistro with authentic decor and atmosphere in Poughkeepsie! We felt like we were in France. The food did not disappoint. Some dishes were typical ,steak frites, onion soup, oysters some sounded typical steak tartare and escargot but had very different flavors from those found abroad. I had very good escargot in a wine type sauce... More

24 of us came after my nephew's graduation from Vassar. We ranged in age from 3 months to 84 years. The staff was courteous, professional, polite and extremely accommodating. This was matched by the food which was creative and delicious. The menu offered something for everyone. In particular, the chicken and waffles were made with moist dark meat and cornmeal... More

I have been here a number of times. The prices are on the high side but service and decor are always good. I have to say that this time the prime beef sandwich was over the top great. The beef was cooked rare and melted in my mouth. Piled high, nice aioli and cheese. So big I couldn't eat the... More

Went for my birthday dinner and so happy that I chose the Brasserie 292. The pictures looked reminiscent of a Paris bistro and that was exactly the atmosphere; small tables, blank and white tiled floor, tin ceiling, etc. I was craving a steak as I eat it so rarely, and only on special occasions. Well, I couldn't be happier with... More

This place was a real find. The food and service were both excellent. The staff was attentive, but not intrusive. There were 3 of us and we each had a different entree and everyone was extremely pleased with the food. We had a baked goat cheese appetizer which was amazing. We will definitely return here when we are in the... More

We were 4 for dinner. Arrived at 6pm, were seated immediately ,ordered from a very nice & professional server. Our appetizers arrived in a timely manner, but after that we waited a good 45 min. For our main corse. Food was good, but I could not cut no less eat the ramps or leeks that were served with my fish.... More

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday, and loved the place. The decor is authentic -- big mirrors, white tiled walls, very attentive wait staff. We sat at a booth. My wife ordered the fixed price lunch and loved it. Very good onion soup, great steak. I had a salad wedge that came with sinfully good slabs of bacon.... More
