We went for a weekend breakfast. It's a casual spot. About 50/50 students & others. A lot of selection for the build your own omelet although less cheese than I would have liked. The oatmeal and yogurt combo sounded better than it was. All in all, a pleasant meal

I visited this restaurant with my daughter and a friend who home from college on spring break. I had the roast beef sandwich with horseradish mayo wow they had vegetarian Panini's. All were very tasty and the cappuccinos were delicious. We also had a peanut butter bomb and a pretzel tart for dessert. The peanut butter bomb was better than... More

Someone recommended this cafe knowing we enjoy going out for breakfast. However, we prefer not to be handed a menu at the "Order Here" counter while there are people waiting on line behind us. Our food was brought to the table but we prefer to sit, enjoy our coffee while we look at a menu and give our order to... More

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to write a review of Babycakes. We actually now do offer table service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has been a gradual transition but we have evolved from a casual dining cafe into a full service restaurant. Just about everything is made in house including that piece of toast you may have... Babycakes Cafe has cool vibe with some interesting art and pretty good food. This place has very good selection of morning coffees and teas. Food was fresh, quick and tasty with decent size portions. Cafe ole was really good as was the Chai tea. Pancakes were pretty big although slightly overcooked, will chalk it up to a fluke though. Would... More

We visited over the past weekend. Food was delicious and they have gluten free bread! Wish I'd tried dinner as well.

Friendly and professional staff. Rigatoni Bolognese was nicely seasoned with the star being the sweet Italian sausage and the Scallop & Lemon Risotto was perfectly cooked except the scallops were just slightly overcooked for my taste but still delicious. The Greek Lamb sliders were good but needed a hint of sweet to compliment the sauce. The dessert (orange tart &... More

We recently stayed at Vassar Alumni House, which includes breakfast vouchers for Babycakes. I had two yummy breakfasts there. The Fritata was not as crispy as I was expecting but was good in its own way. The French Toast is very filling and yummy. Others in my group enjoyed the oatmeal and the whole grain pancakes. The The bottomless cup... More

I have eaten at Baby Cakes on many occasions and I've never been disappointed. You can tell the chef truly cares about the product he touches.

I come to the Hudson Valley every couple of years for the Rhinebeck festival, and Babycakes has become a required stop on the trip. Every meal I've had at Babycakes has been amazing -- the kind of meal where you know you're full and should probably stop eating, but you can't.

Quaint little eatery. Great for a delightful meal and chat with a friend. Atmosphere was pleasant. Enjoyed quiche and soup. Would go back.
