After a rainy day at the Children's Museum (a great experience, btw) we decided to stop into Amici's based on the recommendation of the museum staff. We arrived and were impressed with the décor, it seemed cozy and had an NYC pizzeria feel to it. Everything went downhill immediately after. We were greeted by a less than enthusiastic staff (a.k.a... More

After a day visiting the walkway bridge and Poughkeepsie waterfront we decided to look for some good Italian food. Unfortunately we were disappointed with food. Nothing was horrible, but despite eating a lot we left with our stomachs feeling empty. This looks like a nice place to meet friends for a drink or coffee because the ambiance is nice, but... More

Should be #1 Italian by a long shot. A group of 5 of us were in town for 6 days and tried 5 of the top 10 Trip Advisor suggestions and this was by far an overwhelming favorite. Their menu is that of a REAL Italian restaurant. All courses were delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommended for any occasion.

My wife & I decided on an early dinner for her birthday. We arrived about 5 P.M. on a bitter cold night and decided to sit by the window for the view of the Hudson. river. The room was nice and warm and no draft sitting that close to the window. Big plus for that from the wife's point of... More

We arrived at amicis Christmas Eve an hour early so we decided to sit at the bar for drinks. When we walked in the door at the lower level we were immediately greeted by a loud patron at the bar cursing out the F boom. We then turned around and went across the street for cocktails. Before leaving I looked... More

My husband and I were in town to visit family and my niece suggested Amici's. It was right up there with one of my best meals ever! I had the veal Marsala which was perfect in every way. My husband had eggplant which was just as good. The best for me was their deep fried cheese stuffed green olives. Never... More

First of all let me say that my Mom was one of the best Italian Cooks in the world, period and I'm being objective. I've eaten in almost every critically acclaimed Italian restaurant in the USA and in Italy. My point is that Amici's is right up there with the best of them. The food is authentic, lovingly prepared and... More

Had eaten here twice before and liked it. Decided to have a luncheon here with ten of my staff. Manager Joel was a pleasure to plan the late luncheon with. Everything was top notch from service (Thank you, Mitchell!), to atmosphere, to quality of food and wine, to quantity of food. Everyone got to take something home because there was... More

We have been eating at Amici's for about 10 years and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. They have a great selection of food and drink. Several years ago I took the Board for an organization to which I belong to Amici's for our annual dinner meeting. They have demanded we go back there every year... More

Relatively small intimate place with views of the Hudson River. Great service and amazing food. The specials are always great choices. We dine here about once per month and have never been dissappointed. Decent selection of beer and wine.
