Not your run of the mill Italian joint. Excellent and unexpected.

This was very good, and way better than we expected. It's located by the waterfront, so we expected it to be touristy and overrated. Actually, the food was very good, with excellent and unexpected choices. They start you off with a dish of garlic knots with a dipping sauce, which was much... read more

First time visit..Late lunch...Bread basket very tasty. Fried mozzarella: crispy outside, creamy inside, mmm. Veal Parm, Chicken Saltimbocca: large portions, absolutely delicious. Will be back!

My wife and I took my mother n law out to dinner and enjoyed ourselves very much thanks to owner/chef Joel Trocino. We had the lazy lasagna which my mother n law loved and thought was the best she ever had, my wife too enjoyed her kitchen combo and I had my usual veal parm with spaghetti and meat sauce.... More

I and my teens visited the Ballon Fest in Poughkeepsie. Amici happened to put a discount coupon on the parking pass. I am so happy they did. Great family restaurant. Makes a good date night too. Food was a pleasant surprise. FLAVOR!

We went to Amici's after graduation. We were a party of 13 and B---y was very attentive and friendly. She did a great job except for two huge things. She forgot to put in two meals. The lobster raviloli did not take that long to bring out, but the Filet mignon cooked medium would take too long so they substituted... More

Had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner here a few months ago and it couldn't have been better. The service was great and the food even better. Joel is a master chef and extremely personable. Stopped there for dinner last week and had the lobster risotto. Awesome.

My wife and I ate here for her Birthday. We had the Lobster Ravioli(awesome) the Eggplant Rollatini & the crispy Calamari. We have been here before on the recommendation of multiple people. The food, service and ambiance are all excellent.

Been here years ago and wanted to try something different so we gave it a shot. Martins were excellent! Mussels were good. Veal chop parm was on the rib but just ok since I had much better. Now the disappointment. Risotto pesto with sun dried tomato and shrimp special. Sorry but no way. It had a funky smell. Either the... More

Downstairs has terrific tavern environment. Upstairs is lovely dining room. Whatever you are in the mood for. The Pizza is outstanding with great toppings. Service is by real people , not the phonies you encounter at the chains..I see a lot of the same folks there regularly. Everyone is treated well by the staff

As authentic Italian dining goes, Amici's rates with the best. We enjoyed our dinner. Most of all, I enjoyed the ambiance. When traveling, we like to visit restaurants that are unique to the city or town we are in; Amici's fit the bill!
