Excellent food

Stopped on a whim, had greek salad and platter. Salad was a stroke of culinary genious, deconstructed in a way, ingredients were very fresh, flavors were exquisite, presentations much better than most, overall dining experience was very good. With very limited places to get a genuinely good meal in our area, First Crush has become a favorite. We've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a nice little cozy and unique atmosphere. It's small inside but seating is comfortable. Food is consistent and very good. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

I ordered pasta Primavera as an entree. It arrived in a small (1 cup ) dish. The pasta was stuck to the bottom of the dish with the sauce covering the top. It would have been nice if they had mixed it together. The sauce was tasty but 1 piece of broccoli and 1 mushroom are not enough to even... More

My husband and I went to dinner at this bistro when we were in town visiting. We both chose our entrees from the special list. His had salmon and mine had lamb. Both meals were DELICIOUS!! We enjoyed the wine selection and the comfortable atmosphere. Once we got home we ended up looking up the wine we had to buy... More

I called and they recommended reservations at 4:30. We were one of 2 couples when we arrived. We each ordered a roast beef wrap and they were pretty good, the beef was lean, not outstanding. The waitress brought my husbands wrap and when she set it on the table the veggie sticks slid off the plate and onto the bare... More

Small corner coffee shop. Very limited seating. Great atmosphere and staff. Gives you the small town feel (even though Potsdam is a small town). Not just a great coffee selection, but desert and lunch/breakfast menu. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed this place. We has soup and sandwiches in a very nice atmosphere. The tomato basil soup was excellent, chunky with tomatoes and perfect for the cold dank day that brought us in. The Huntington Beach sandwich was also a great complement to the soup, turkey, avocado, roasted red peppers with mayo on great bread. We came in late... More

Though the choices may seem limited in the Potsdam/Canton area, First Crush is a really great choice and a damned good meal. Stopped by last week for lunch. Fifth visit. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon but the place was still full. Great sign! Had a "Thanksgiving" panini -- turkey, stuffing, cranberry and gravy on a roll -- I mean... More

I stopped here after reading the reviews and i'm glad I did! It's not very big inside, but it has a lot of style and is very cozy. The waitress was really sweet and offered some great suggestions. I started off with a Caramel macchiato. I ordered a cup of the soup, which was a type of spicy chili. It... More

First Crush is a great little local bistro for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My favorite for breakfast is Briebagelicious; quiche and small salad for lunch; tapas for dinner with wine.
