We drive almost a hour to have brunch here when we are visiting relatives in NY. Amazing quality pancakes, fresh maple syrup, and a great relaxing atmosphere. On our way again soon!

We were fortunate to be there when the maple sap was running (mid March) and could appreciate this fascinating process in action. But putting that aside it's still worth visiting out of season to be able to enjoy a great meal which exploits the local maple syrup to it's full extent.

Definitely something to check out, whether you have never been here before or are from out of the area. The grounds are beautiful no matter what time of year it is and the restaurant is very cozy and charming. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Be sure to check out their adorable gift shop, where you can buy... More

Whether you're in the mood for breakfast fare like pancakes, waffles or french toast or burgers, or a thanksgiving style turkey dinner, Sprague's is the place for you! I have sampled Berries on a Cloud waffle (strawberries & whipped cream piled high on a Belgian waffle), omelets, pancakes, turkey dinners and my favorite - corned beef hash! Other family members... This is a wonderful restaurant with gift shop. They make their own maple syrup and raise their own turkeys. The pancakes, French toast, and omelets are delicious! Any dish with Turkey is good, from the hot Turkey sandwich to the turkey dinner. The Pittsburgh salad with warm Riviera dressing is my favorite. Try the coconut shrimp with the Riviera dressing as... Once again we were very disappointed with the food @ Sprague's. Guess we need to stop going there! The atmosphere is great, the bathrooms are spotless..... BUT..... the food was quite a disappointment.....I had to ask "TWICE" to have my French Toast returned to the kitchen because it wasn't cooked long enough...wet, soggy bread is not French Toast, not to... If ever in the area, this is a must place. Home-made maple syrup, sausage patties and awesome baked beans. Of course great pancakes too!
