Good, somehow expensive

I have been twice over the last week. Both times, good food, tasty and I would say cooked with nontrivial recipes. Informal but corteous and quick service. The wine list leaves room to improvement, and most bottles are too expensive. On the other hand, they have some white wines from Long Island... read more

Service terrible and slow. Dining room was freezing cold. They brought the wrong check out to us with someone's else bill and credit card. Then they brought out sorbet we never ordered. Then they brought our bill with the sorbet we never ordered or ate on there. Would never ever come back here. Waste of money.

Hi Camy, Thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry you were disappointed with your dining experience, especially since it was your first time dining with us. The air conditioning was on that evening and we certainly would have been happy to lower it for your comfort had you informed us. I apologize for the error your server made with... More

Fifth Season has a menu that changes with each season which is good, but if you have a fav, you won't for long lol While they do have a gluten-free selection, it's mostly based on meat and leafy greens.. But they have a selection of GF pasta AND GF bread for the table, which is a plus bc everyone loves... More

I went with one of my dining groups. it's always nice to try restaurant week to sample a place you normally don't go to. The hostess was a little unpleasnat. We were a large group-we had reservations-for the first seating. The hostess acted like she was annoyed. Our waiter, on the other hand, was extremely pleasnat and personable. The entire... More

Took the ferry from Bridgeport to meet friends, who live in eastern Long Island, for dinner. Food, service and ambiance were all first rate. For the quality of the food ant preparation, prices were very fair. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is one of my favorites! They have amazingly delicous organic food & wine, beautiful atmosphere, a view of the water, a fun bar area, what more could you ask for!

We went there for a family birthday. It was a dreary winter day so maybe that tainted it a little. The upper floor had a better view but the chairs were very hard to sit in for an extended period. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The wine list was decent. The menu selection could have been... More

We met family already seated in this pretty restaurant - our room was right next door so we had already dealt with the parking nightmare described in other reviews. The staff was very accomodating to our family and the musical chairs style greeting that ensued. The meal in this case wouldn't have had to be spectacular as we reconnected with... More

It is probably not the best idea to rate a restaurant after only one visit when that visit happened to be Valentine's Day. It is also important to disclaim that my husband and I are true die hard foodies, Michelin Star Fanatics, and somewhat intolerant of ordinary food and ordinary establishments. We had wanted to go to Fifth Season for... More
