Local farms and waters are the inspiration for this New American restaurant that focuses on preparing menus using ingredients that change with each season. American microbrews and wines are carefully selected to pair with each dish our chefs create. Enjoy our House-Infused Artisanal Cocktails made with seasonal purees and fresh squeezed juices while overlooking the Long Island Sound on either the outdoor patio, upstairs seating or cozy lounge. Established in 2004 in Greenport, this Zagat top-rated restaurant for both food and service moved in Spring 2008 to Port Jefferson harbor.

Great Kobe Burger

We enjoyed Kobe burgers. Lovely atmosphere, convenient to parking, pleasant decor. The service was professional and friendly, the orders were served timely and the pricing was moderate to expensive. We dined alfresco on their open air porch and the beautiful weather was an added joy.

The Fifth Season offers both a quiet sit down dinner & a reasonably priced Happy Hour under one roof. Happy Hour on Friday's include: reasonably priced drinks...affordable & tastey bar menu with several selections to choose from. If dining in at an elegant restaurant is your choice...skip the Happy Hour and go directly to the formal part of the restaurant.... More

This is the nicest restaurant in Port Jefferson and I have been to most. The food is delicious, the prices are perfect and the atmosphere is just so nice, especially sitting on the porch on a nice afternoon. Definitely recommend.

This past Thursday, as a diversion from the beaches in Connecticut, we took the Bridgeport Ferry over to Port Jefferson for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised to find the outdoor porch of The Fifth Season open for lunch. We had eaten in the upstairs dining room a few years ago (marvellous meal) but didn't think the restaurant was open at... More

Went here on our last evening in the area. Friends had told us that it was good, but nice just about describes it! The tables inside were very cramped and hardly any room on the table for 4 people dining, ours was pushed into a corner and you could hear conversations at neighbouring tables because it was all too close.... We came here, last minute, no reservation on a Friday night and immediately got a table on the porch at sunset. We took our time and enjoyed the food, music and people watching. We each ordered specials -- fluke for the Husband, scallops for me. Husband also enjoyed the cold carrot soup. Nice choice of gluten-free items (including my scallops... More

Wonderful eclectic American food. Gluten free items are noted on the menu and are numerous. We enjoyed our visit!

I dined here with a large party last Saturday. While most of the staff was very nice and the decent, the manager should be fired. We ordered a bottle of wine when we arrived. They poured a bit and asked us to try it. The wine was terrible, perhaps the cork had failed. We told the waiter and he took... More

What a great atmosphere. The restaurant looked a little bit intimidating but the patio outside was lose, breezy and fun. Fifth Season has an awesome happy hour special. $5 apps and $5 well drinks and wine -- it was calling out our name! Despite the price the food was top notch, Vegetable Napoleon, Mediterranean Plate and Local fried clams were... More

Had a lunch date with 3 other friends we enjoyed the openness of dining inside/ friendly energetic lunch crowd atmosphere. I thoroughly delighted in my choice of a Kobe burger.(first one ordered rare but was prepared well done) Returned and Chef prepared a perfectly Rare cooked Kobe Burger, served with a fresh side salad. My friends had the Veggie burgers... More
