We stopped for lunch and tea at this classy little shop in the heart of Port Jefferson and were delighted with both the service, the staff and the food and tea. We were greeted by a smartly dressed hostess in a pretty dress and hat and shown to our table. We did not choose to don any of the many... More

Went for lunch during the CHRISTMAS DICKENS WEEKEND. Nice menu w/lots of teas to choose from. Beautiful presentation especially if you get the 'high tea' delectables. Restaurant was decorated for the holidays so very pretty. For those wanting to look the part of A lady who lunches, they have many hats you can waer while eating. Nice idea especially for... More

I am a tea snob. I love my tea and brew it from loose leaf tea every day. When in Port Jefferson for a day trip with a friend, we passed The Secret Garden and we decided to stop here for dessert after walking around town a bit. I'm so glad we did. The service was excellent, the tea sublime.... More

Attended their High Tea -- everything was excellent from the soup, scones, Tea Sandwiches and desserts. Highly recommend going here -- you can even dress in High Tea fashion -- they have hats, etc. there for you.

We make it a point to go to The Secret Garden at least once a week. The setting is charming, the food amazing and the staff are so wonderful and attentive. The Hostesses are darling and the wait staff is helpful with suggestions and advice. Large parties or just tea for two, this is a must. Dress up with hats... More

II's always interesting to revisit a place that one has enjoyed to see if the same high standards still exist. I am happy to say that after eating at SG recently things remain very good! The owner has been meticulous about presenting a delicious menu, excellent service, and a warm, friendly environment. Don't miss the opportunity to enter The Secret... More

It's such a pleasure to visit an establishment that takes itself seriously. The atmosphere was charming, clean and welcoming. Our lunch (chicken salad and a panini) was delicious, attractively plated and freshly prepared. I will make it a point to visit again. Congenial service and an enjoyable experience that I highly recommend.
