November 7, 2015 This afternoon my wife & I took our 18 year old grand daughter to lunch at The Secret Garden. We were not disappointed! The cafe is cozy without being crowded. The food was excellent, the tea well brewed. Joe, our waiter, was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The decor was beautiful yet restrained. The fresh flower... More

I've been to about 8 different restaurants for afternoon high tea and can honestly say that the Secret Garden serves the best. From the quaint, colorful garden-like dining room, to the quirky dress-up-in-hats area to the excellent service and fabulous food, the entire experience was memorable. My sisters and I went there on a recent Sunday early afternoon and all... More

We have been here numerous times. My 6 year olds loves the kids tea. We went for both our birthdays. She had a play date with her BFF here. My sister had her baby shower here. I always get the high tea. Scones are awesome. Get the lemon curd to put on top. Yum. My sister has food allergies. My... More

My friend and I took our seven year old grandaughter's for a tea party. What a blast. In the back room they had hats that we could pick from and wear. The girls brought their doll and she sat in a high chair. We ordered the children's tea which the girls loved and we had not the one which had... More

It was raining so bad we could have used an ark. But we walked into The Secret Garden and forgot about the rain. We had reservations for the Royal Tea. Wow! We chose our tea (and I'm particular about my tea--I brew it using loose leaf tea) and then the magic began. A cup of the most delicious soup. Then... More

The Secret Garden was such a treat! I brought my mom and my daughter for lunch. It was our first visit. We called ahead to make sure that we did not need a reservation. We did not, however during the height of summer I would have to think that you would. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. First of all... More

We stopped for lunch and tea at this classy little shop in the heart of Port Jefferson and were delighted with both the service, the staff and the food and tea. We were greeted by a smartly dressed hostess in a pretty dress and hat and shown to our table. We did not choose to don any of the many... More

Went for lunch during the CHRISTMAS DICKENS WEEKEND. Nice menu w/lots of teas to choose from. Beautiful presentation especially if you get the 'high tea' delectables. Restaurant was decorated for the holidays so very pretty. For those wanting to look the part of A lady who lunches, they have many hats you can waer while eating. Nice idea especially for... More
