Description: Inspired by the beach culture of coastal California, Mexico, Uruguay and Brazil, bartaco combines healthy, upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment. The minimalistic decor is light and breezy, with the air of a rustic beach resort. The cuisine is rooted in Mexican tradition but pulls from a broad palate of bold, spicy flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia and beyond. The tacos are healthier versions of old-country favorites, filled with fish, fresh vegetables, spit-roasted chicken, and slow-cooked pork to name a few. There are Asian-influenced salads, grilled corn, signature fusion rice bowls, and seasonal market specials on the creative menu. The bartaco beverage menu is just as carefully crafted, and includes bottled Mexican Coca-Cola and hand-pressed fruit sodas. Over 40 tequilas - all 100% agave - have been hand-picked. Our award-winning inspired and refreshing cocktail selections are made with only artisanal spirits and freshly-squeezed juices and are featured along with traditional margaritas, mojitos and caipirinhas. Whether dining with family or enjoying a night out with friends, all will savor the undeniable energy that is the bartaco experience.

This is THE IN spot to go for a drink at the bar, but don't overlook the food. The tacos are very small (2 bites), I prefer the rice bowls, particularly the pork belly rice bowl. The guacamole with fresh chips is always great.

This is a rather unusual concept--a tapas-oriented, southwestern-leaning menu, with a large area for eating outside, overlooking the Byram River. It is most enjoyable on a nice day, when it is comfortable to eat outside. The large indoor dining room tends to get very crowded and loud. The whole set-up, including the menu, is somewhat novel: One fills out a... More

Went for lunch and sat on the terrace, received a very warm welcome and our server was great too. As for the food it was as good if not better than I remember from my last visit, we had delicious tacos and well actually everything we had we throughly enjoyed. Can't wait till my next visit.

The view of the marina, and the deck and fire pits outside are what make this place. It's always packed for dinner and there is always a wait. The food is just good nothing spectacular and the portions are super small and overpriced. Don't expect to leave full it's a tapas bar you only pick on food here. The drinks... More

Bartaco is not the most authentic tacos, but they are delicious and great tasting. My favorite part of the experience is sitting outside on a sunny day looking out on the water. Love the mix of tacos and especially the grilled corn on the cob!

I have recently discovered this restaurant and have found it to be a very nice family restaurant during the afternoons and a little more of a bar in the evenings when it can get very noisy and crowded. Have thoroughly enjoyed the visits with family and friends.

Great atmosphere... with excellent food and margaritas. When there I prefer 'baja fish', 'fried oyster' and 'spicy chorizo' tacos. For the hungry ones order 'rice bowls' or 'half rotisserie chicken' ...both very good, and don't forget the margarita or mojito by the carafe.

Tasty, high-quality tacos served in a fun - almost "vacation-like" atmosphere. We desperately need more places like this in the area - good food, affordable, family friendly and fun. If you go early you can beat the crowds - the wait can get long - especially on a nice night for outdoor seating. They are very nice to kids here... More

I've never been interested in eating oysters, so I was skeptical to have the fried oyster taco. I'm so glad I did because it is one of the best tacos I've ever had. I also had the duck rice bowl which was excellent. But the oyster tacos + blood orange margaritas? Awesome combination.
