This was a delightful experience. The food was very tasty and fresh. We started off with a vegetable antipasto platter that was delicious. I had a pasta dish with three types of mushrooms.Very yummy. The restaurant serves a daily special. Prices were very fair for a Mario Batali restaurant.I would... read more

I have been to Tarry Lodge a couple of times, the first time I went to dinner was several years ago and remember not enjoying the food. I went back again last year and had a slightly better experience so I decided to give it another try at a later point. I literally just came home from spending under an... More

I wanted to go to a restaurant we hadn't visited before for my birthday this year. We made reservations at Tarry Lodge. When we arrived, the restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated immediately on the second floor. The service was immediate and continued to be excellent for the duration of our stay. I had the Orecchiette with fennel... More

I'm just reviewing the pizza so this cannot be a complete review of the restaurant. Pizza is among the best I've eaten in US. Still very limited choices (6 or 8 tastes) but well cooked, good ingredients, correct size (not those big wide pizzas you can get around). Beers have one size (medium small) and the list, although limited, can... More

We have been here about 20 times. Maybe this late lunch was an off time. Food was average as was the pizza. Behind the bar was a gross fly paper hanging to catch errant flies. Really? Love staring at that while I eat my pizza. Cmon Joe and Mario, you can do better.

I was impressed! My aunt and uncle had great things to say about Tarry Lodge so we made the drive over the CT/NY border for dinner. We parked in the parking lot that was reserved for Tarry customers which was nice to see. They have valet on Fridays and Saturdays, but we visited on a Sunday. We were promptly seated... More

I am very surprised at the multiple. Good reviews of the place on this site. We used to frequent this place when it first opened and always enjoyed it as it got popular it went down hill so we stayed away for a couple of years. Well we have it another try tonight very disappointed has gone even more down... More

The service was incredible. And the food was amazing. Attention to details was the theme of the night. My only negative was that the "Nancy salad" did not have all of the ingredients that I was expecting.

While I enjoyed my dinner here, I'll be honest that I was expecting a bit more from an MB restaurant. I adore Mario Batali's places. We had a delicious pasta and pizza here, but no more spectacular than I have had at some restaurants NOT owned by a famous chef. The heirloom tomato salad was nice, but basic.

I can't believe I haven't written about Tarry Lodge before now. I've lost count of the number of times I've been here and the number of people we have brought with us. Where to begin... If you are inclined, I highly recommend dining at the bar or at the very least in the small dining area up one flight in... More
