I was impressed! My aunt and uncle had great things to say about Tarry Lodge so we made the drive over the CT/NY border for dinner. We parked in the parking lot that was reserved for Tarry customers which was nice to see. They have valet on Fridays and Saturdays, but we visited on a Sunday. We... read more

I am very surprised at the multiple. Good reviews of the place on this site. We used to frequent this place when it first opened and always enjoyed it as it got popular it went down hill so we stayed away for a couple of years. Well we have it another try tonight very disappointed has gone even more down... More

The service was incredible. And the food was amazing. Attention to details was the theme of the night. My only negative was that the "Nancy salad" did not have all of the ingredients that I was expecting.

While I enjoyed my dinner here, I'll be honest that I was expecting a bit more from an MB restaurant. I adore Mario Batali's places. We had a delicious pasta and pizza here, but no more spectacular than I have had at some restaurants NOT owned by a famous chef. The heirloom tomato salad was nice, but basic.

I can't believe I haven't written about Tarry Lodge before now. I've lost count of the number of times I've been here and the number of people we have brought with us. Where to begin... If you are inclined, I highly recommend dining at the bar or at the very least in the small dining area up one flight in... More

The food is fabulous; atmosphere beautiful without being excessively fancy and staff helpful. The pasta is divine as are the pizza, fish dishes and specials. They have a great wine list too. THey usually have a crowd so reservations are recommended.

Loved the tagliatelle bolognese. Nancy's salad was ample to share. We dined at 530 on a Tuesday night. Restaurant was not full so less noise. Service excellent just wished our server would have been louder. We could hardly hear him.

Nice premises, first class attention and EXCELLENT food. I go to this place when I want delicious Italian food, I love pasta, I grew up eating Italian and Spanish food in Buenos Aires, so, for me la massa is something sacred. 1st commandment: no canned tomato sauce. When I asked for the pasta immediately felt the low acidity of the... More

I know it's blasphemous to knock Molto Mario, but when this restaurant first opened, it was a disaster. Overcrowded, with rude staff, made for a very unpleasant dining experience. HOWEVER, they've really learned how to run the place, and now is a better oiled machine, with a friendlier staff. The original menu seemed to cater to tourists from Ohio, something... More

We have been coming to this place for years but it is starting to get tired. They have never changed the menu and the food is just average now. The pizzas are still good but everything else seems tired. It is very noisy and could use a bit of a makeover. It still is popular which is why they may... More
