Six at our table for a birthday lunch from the office. Only two of us said we liked beets. By the time we were finished with appetizers, all six had become new devotees of beets! (Two men and four women.) Every dish was excellent. Atmosphere was 'old world', but modern. Fresh food, fresh attitude, fresh decor. Absolutely will return--as a... More

We have dined at this restaurant many times. the food has been consistently good and the prices are moderate. the service still needs some upgrading. the serving staff shows little positive energy or empathy. there were 4 of us. my wife ordered the salmon which is consistent tasty. It arrived along with the three other entrees but it was literally... More

A most enjoyable dinner with colleagues. Family style food was plentiful (really, too much but they packed up what was left) and very very good. Ravioli with peas, lamb chops, pizza, pickles... Just loved it. Was also very nice to have a quiet room and round tables so we could hear each other easily. Service was excellent as well

The food and service at the Tarry Lodge is uncomparable! Three of us started out the roasted beets and the scalop appetizers along with the bread and olive oil which came out immediately after sitting. The combinations of flavors exploded in our mouths causing many oohs and ahhs! The we had our individual entrees. One was the pork osso buco... More

The TarryLodge in PortChester features valet parking so you don't need to go crazy looking for street parking. Dinners were good (I had the Black Spaghetti with lots of shrimp on top) and the wine list adequate (note that a bottle is cheaper than 3 glasses so if you like to refill, it's better to order a whole bottle). The... More

Tarry Lodge is our go to restaurant in Greenwich. I have tried everything on the menu in this casual italian restaurant and everything is consistently great.

Most restaurants the wait staff will back off and allow you time to make a decision. This one hovers over table and waits until it is uncomfortable. Suggestions/overselling continues throughout the meal and while the food is very good it does not counter the very pushy ambiance.

We were a group of. 3. My grilled asparagus Milanese style was good but my oriechiette with spicy sausage was not spicy and not very good. My fellow diners liked their main courses branzino and spaghetti with clams but left half the portion unbeaten. One dessert was zabaglione which wasn't very tasty and the other was tiramisu. That was ok.... More

Mario Batali has done it again! It's all about the food and wine here, folks. The building is unassuming. The decor is tasteful but not over the top. It can get a little loud on a Saturday night. (Or maybe that was just my group...) But the food... Oh the food... The Guanciale with black truffle and egg sunny side... More

Mario Batali does not disappoint. I was brought to this restaurant by my daughter whose recommendations are right on the money. Good Italian food. excellent service in a pleasant setting. Your can find some entrees at fairly reasonable prices. Great wine list.
