Nessa Delight

Decided to go on a Saturday night. Had not been here in a year. Very crowded but got a table. I loved the bruschettas. We had wine and salads, then order our meals. We both got a half order of past and it was really good. Very fresh. Out waiter was friendly and helpful in decided on menu... read more

Nessa is our go-to place for dinner with friends or a delicious dinner after a great movie. We have NEVER been disappointed and always feel welcome when we walk in. The Bruschetta is awesome and although everything on the menu is delicious, one of us almost always orders the rigatoni bolognese - it's the best we have ever had.

We stopped by Nessa with a tall order: get us in and out in 30 minutes so that we could make a movie. They succeeded beyond our expectations... Taking a seat at the bar, we were greeted warmly by the bartender, who assured us confidently that he would take care of us and have us on our way in time.... More

Four of us went to Nessa to have a great night out. First the good stuff. The servers were pleasant and attentive. We started at the bar ordering three Pinots and a beer. $55.00 for that. OK, NY Prices I said. Then the food. The pork chop I has was under cooked and under spiced. Bland with vinegar peppers on... More

This restaurant was such a let down. The service was among the worst we have had in a long time, the food was good at best.. I will say the meatballs were really wonderful and the calamari too. The Spaghetti Carbonara was not exucuted the authentic way and lacked flavor.

What a great variety of small plates, most notably the different varieties of meatballs and bruschetta! If you're starving, they have plenty of traditional entrees to choose from as well. Well made drinks from the bar, a friendly staff, and a lively but not too noisy environment make Nessa a really enjoyable experience.

I stopped at Nessa's recently - they have introduced live music to their 5 - 7 evening Nibble time, at least on Tuesdays. A talented young keyboardist, Simon Riker added an engaging mix of American Songbook Classics, jazz and a few classical pieces which turned a couple of cocktails into an exploration of the special Nessa Nibbles sampler list and... Stopped in on Sunday at 5:15 for some appetizers and some wine. Nice wine selection and the appetizers were very good. Fried polenta cooked well, meatballs (big)in sauce, and mussels in broth were our choices. Each was $8 apiece and we did not eat dinner that night since that was plenty of food. We would definitely go back and we... More

Nessa has a great Sunday brunch menu - not extensive but what they have is great - don't miss the french toast . And the mimosas and bloody mary's are $5! On Mondays, you can BYOB, which saves $$! The bruchetta is really good (but not each order is only 1 piece!). The meals themselves are OK, but the best... More

I'm all about the quaint, trendy, Manhattan-ish style restaurants. This one fits the bill! Portchester is known for some great eating, and Nessa delivers. It's romantic and yet perfect for an intimate gathering with friends as well, dimly lit, candles, relaxing ambiance from the time you enter. The food is amazing. I love the rigatoni bolanese ...yummmm. The Brussel sprouts... More
